Jesus Was Made
Both Lord and Christ
Acts 2.1-47
As I read this yesterday I knew this was one of the most questioned chapters of the Bible.
Parts of it are questioned among believers and parts of it are questioned among non-believers.
In this chapter you find people confounded, bewildered, you find people amazed and marveled. You find people doubting, you find mockers and believers.
You find a preacher with words from a prophet,
You find a message of the second coming of Christ,
You find the message of salvation,
You see the Son of God going about doing good,
You find Him who knew no sin being crucified and slain,
You fin the Resurrection of the Son of God,
You here the message of a empty tomb
You see Jesus sitting in the throne of God upon the right hand
Most of all that I just made reference too is questioned today,
V36 God made this Jesus both Lord and Christ
This is one of the biggest controversies of the world,
It is not just as long as you believe in a supreme being
It is not just accept all other Gods
It is not Jesus and Mohammed, Jesus and Allah,
It is not Jesus and ___________________
It is Jesus and Jesus alone for He is Lord and Christ, the Anointed One.
No other way, No other name
:37 ¶ Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, they were convicted and that is what the world does not want
People get upset today when you speak of Jesus,
You can speak of God
You can beat your chess and point upward
You can bow
But don’t mention His name,
Jesus is Lord, Jesus is the Christ
V37 and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?
There is only one mediator between God and man it is the man Jesus 1Tim. 2.5
Every knee will bow and every tongue confess Jesus is Lord.
