Ephesians 4:17-32
I. Don’t be Like the Lost
A. Darkened Understanding.
“…darkened in their understanding …”
B. Detached from God.
“…separated from the life of God …”
C. Dulled Sensitivity.
“Having lost all sensitivity…”
D. Desiring Impurity.
“…indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more…”
II. Put off the Old Self
"…which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires…"
A. Do Not Lie.
“…put off falsehood and speak truthfully …”
B. Do Not Hold Grudges.
"Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”
C. Do not Steal.
“…steal no longer …”
D. Do not Talk Trash.
"Do not let unwholesome talk come out of your mouths …”
E. Do not Grieve the Holy Spirit.
“…do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God …”
III. When We Put on the New Self, We Will:
A. Be Renewed.
“…be made new in the attitude of your minds …”
B. Be Holy.
“…be like God in true righteousness and holiness …”
C. Be Useful.
“…doing something useful with his hands…”
D. Be Encouraging.
“…what is helpful for building up others according to their needs …”
E. Be Mutual.
“…be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other …”
