The Controversy of Zion.
There are many verses, that come to my mind, being significant to todays world. This verse in Isaiah, is one of them. “For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.”
Many people are extremely interested in Biblical prophecy, and want answers to their questions. There are also many in this world, that do not wish to know, and neither want any one else to seek answers.
They believe that all prophecy’s have been fulfilled, and they desire all knowledge of Scripture suppressed, and only obtainable to a select few. These Holy Scriptures are not open to any private interpretation, but are open to all. All the prophecy’s of the return of Christ have been fulfilled, and He can return at anytime, this only at the direction of the Father. But many scriptures have not been fulfilled, and are coming upon us quickly. Remember that prophecy is not a single event, but a series of events.
Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt,The Palestinians, and the old Syrian Empire states, are all after Zion; (Israel.)
Isa 34:8-10; For it is the day of the LORD’S vengeance, and the year of recompences for the controversy of Zion.
And the streams thereof shall be turned into pitch, and the dust thereof into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.
It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.
Scripture after scripture, warns all mankind, that Zion is the Lords, and will not be taken away from the people, that He gave it, to be an inheritance, the Children of Israel, the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Babylon is fallen, is fallen; A sign of the end times, when the political and religious system of Babylon will fall forever, being replaced by the Covenant of the Lord, The New Testament.
(Psa_87:2; Psa_149:2; Isa_33:14; Joe_2:1) to denote Jerusalem in general, and sometimes God’s chosen Israel (Psa_51:18; Psa_87:5).
Here we see the true, legal owners of Zion(Sion). The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar. (Psa 51:17-19.)
Those that despise the Lord, take the prophets to be their own, straining the words to make them fit, changing the words, to justify their hatred of Israel. They desire this land to be their own, from hatred of thousands of years ago, when Isaac and Ishmael, were step brothers.
Ishmael was rejected by God, for he was not the son of promise to Abraham. This is where the unruly race of people, started their quest of destruction of all peoples of Israel, the seed of Abraham. This is why they also reject Jesus, for God stated that Christ would rule from the City of David, with a rod of Iron. Many are seeking out prophets that will say what is pleasing to their ears, false prophets and teachers, saying, “This be our word from God, this is our inheritance, this is our land. For the prophets told us the truth”
The King of Israel, and Jerusalem;
Yet have I set my king(Jesus, the Christ.) upon my holy hill of Zion.
I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son(Jesus Christ.); this day have I begotten thee.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. (Psa 2:6-9.)
For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession. (Psa 69:35.)
Many today are fighting over the possession of Zion. Syria is one of the most extreme harborer of hatred of Israel, along with Iraq, and Egypt. These nations have rejected the truth, and demand lands from Israel that are not theirs to inhabit. God gave these lands to Israel for an eternal possession.
The Children of Zion; Gen 17:8 And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.
’Elle haddabharim, i.e., “These are the words.” (Easton.)
Deu 11:23-24; Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.
Gen_15:18-21; Exo_23:31; Num_34:3-15; Jos_1:3, Jos_1:4, Jos_14:9; 1Ki_4:21, 1Ki_4:24; 2Ch_9:26
Jos 14:9 And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.
Isa 10:24-26. Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and mine anger in their destruction.
And the LORD of hosts shall stir up a scourge for him according to the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and as his rod was upon the sea, so shall he lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
Isa 14:25 That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
Isa 19:23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
You may deny the Prophets, Moses, The Word of the Lord, but you cannot fight against God.
