" Matthew 28:5-6

And the Angels answered and said unto the women, Fear ye not: For I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Jesus borrowed a grave, then returned it.

Most people are familiar with borrowed things. What amazes me with people is they borrow something thing and they keep it so long you forget they borrowed it. Then when you go over to their house they try to tell you it

belongs to them they want to tell you when they bought it. People are always borrowing my movies because that is my hobby I collect movies but they never return them. Then I forget and go over to their house and I see my

movies with their names on it. What type of craziness is that? From now on I’m making everyone fill our rental list. We borrow on a regular basis. Usually those who borrow, do so because they don’t have possession of or access

to the item they borrowed themselves. As a general rule we only lend items to those persons that we feel will make a return...and even among those we are very selective. We are careful, very careful; in lending money, books,

tools, and records somehow they never seem to come back. Whenever, we borrow something we should have the intent to pay it back. Whether or not we are able to borrow is dependent on our ability to pay it back, not our

intent. If we borrow, we should make every human effort possible to payback or return the item borrowed.

Our Lord had been crucified on the day before the Sabbath. Early before the dawn of the first day of the week Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to anoint his body with oils and to prepare it for embalming. When the

Mary’s came, the Angel said to them, "Fear not", "We know why you have come...you have come seeking Jesus who was crucified. Fear not! The circumstances may be awesome to you but, fear not. The events that you will

view may appear mysterious to you, but fear not. The trauma of what

You are about to experience might be frightening to you, but fear not. As Christians we must learn to hold to God’s

word Fear not Lo I am with you always even unto the ends of the earth. No harm will come to you. These two words spoken to the two women served to calm their fears and reassure them that despite the fact that it looks

like the enemy has won that the promises of God would continue. I know what you have endured, I know right about now your faith is wavering, but fear not. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not

unto thine own understanding. I know you can’t see Jesus right now but don’t worry I know you can’t hear him right now but don’t worry. God has often spoken to those close to him and reminded them to fear not! He

reassured Abraham of a promising future in store for his family. When Abraham showed anxiety over the fact that he had no children God said to him "fear not for I am thy shield and a great reward" In essence, fear not Abraham,

I’m still on your side. Exodus 14:13 finds Moses standing before the Red Sea. The people were stricken with fear because the Egyptians were approaching from the rear and the Read Sea form an in crossable barrier in front of

them. God told Moses to stand before the people and declare "Fear Not...stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.

These Egyptians that you see today, you will see them no more." God spoke to Isaiah in 43:1 and told him not to be afraid "for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine." The Lord spoke to Jeremiah in 1:8 when Jeremiah complained of his fear to stand and declare God’s word.

God had to reassure him and admonish him Jeremiah be not afraid of their faces for I am with thee to deliver thee saith the Lord. Jer 1:5 before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb

I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. An Angel of the Lord came to Mary and calmed her fears by saying "Fear not" thou hast found favor with Lord. You have been selected to bring into the world the

Son of the living God. Jesus returned what he borrowed Now a days people want to borrow something some of them try to be hip they say let me hold something Jesus held something he held a temporary position in a Tomb

not made for him he borrowed it for a time. Three days and three nights earlier Christ had been crucified and buried in a tomb belonging to Joseph, a friend of the cause. Several women, including Mary Magdalene, Joanna

and Mary the Mother of James (Luke 24:10), prepared spices to anoint his body and waited until both the Sabbath involving the Feast of the Passover and the Weekly Sabbath had past; then came to the tomb to complete their

task "very early" in the morning on the First Day of the week. They found that the body of Jesus was missing. An angel told them "He is not here, but is raised." The angel explained how Jesus predicted his resurrection and how

its fulfillment resulted in the empty tomb. When the women remembered his words, they returned to the disciples excited an inspired as they told what they had seen. They had come to the place of the dead seeking a dead

leader and they left knowing that they were serving a living God. The women gave a testimony of their experience. They told what they had seen and heard. Even today, those who are low in spirit and face impossible situations

receive their first inspiration from those who have shared their experience with God. Those who have been touched by the hand of God perform a mighty work when they share what God has done in their lives with others.

There is nothing more encouraging to a person who faces the prospect of fighting cancer than to hear the testimony of a cancer survivor. The word of a person who has failed in business and found success after failing multiple times is encouraging. The encouraging words of persons who have overcome adversity

Serve as evidence that we too can do the same. That’s why it is important for every believer to share the benefit of their experiences in life with others. Each time we testify about God’s greatness, power and strength, we provide a

testimony that helps convince someone else that no matter how dark it gets, there is always a bright light in heaven. Each time we testify, we say like the songwriter, “He touched me, he touched me. And oh the joy that

floods my soul. Something happened and now I know he touched me and made me whole.” The women gave the disciples their testimony, but they were not completely convinced. The bible says in verse 8 of the 28th chapter of

Matthew that when. Mary and Mary heard from the angel that Jesus had risen that they ran. They ran to tell the disciples. There is something about the word becoming alive in your life that will make you run when you feel like

walking. That will make you cry when you’re not sad…..something about the word of GOD coming alive in your life that will make you sing when you don’t feel like singing. There is something about the word of GOD that will bring

the strongest men to their knees.

As I get ready to close, I’m reminded of a story about a young woman whose sister was killed in a train accident at a railroad crossing. The sister placed to small white cross’ at the railroad crossing as a monument to her

sister’s life. While she erected the cross as a monument, those who came to the area saw the cross, Hit their breaks and looked both ways before crossing the track. One day the sister noticed that there was a red rose

placed at the foot of the cross and wondered what it meant. Each week thereafter she saw another red rose at the site. Many weeks later she stumbled upon a lady in the grocery store who thanked her for placing the cross at the

site. The woman said, "Three weeks ago I was absorbed in a personal trouble and worried about my family. I didn’t hear the train blow, but I looked up and saw the cross, I hit my brakes when I looked to the left I saw the

approaching train. That cross saved my life." The sister asked, "Why do you put a rose on the cross every week? The woman answered and said "Because every time I see it. That it reminds me of how I was standing on the ’Edge of Night’ thinking Lord oh Lord. Dealing with ’a secret storm, in my life worried about all my children, but

because of the cross I looked up. Because of the cross I have one more chance to get it right because of the cross. I still have "one life to live!" .Because of the cross, all my sins he bear somebody say all. I can go to him I

can go to him bow down in secret prayer because of the cross. My savior hung and bled. I know I’m saved I know I’m saved by the blood he shed. I heard the song writer say at the cross at the cross where I first saw the light and

the burdens of my heart just rolled away. It was there it was there I received my sight and I was happy all the day because of the cross my sins have been washed clean and because of the Cross have been redeemed. Simon of

Cyrenian carried the cross for Jesus they hung him high and stretched him wide they hung him on that cross aren’t you glad he hung from the 6th to the 9th hour all of ur sins he bare 3 days he laid in a borrowed early he got

up he got up with the keys to death in his hand oh death where is thy sting hit your breaks and look both ways. Jesus is calling you look both ways before crossing.
