For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

I. Gaining freedom from demonic strongholds
A. You must have a total identification with the Lord
Jesus Christ
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

B. You must confess specific sins
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)
C. You must submit to and walk in the Spirit
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Gal. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. Gal. 5:16-17 (NKJV)
II. How to maintain the power of God in our lives
A. You must live a dedicated life
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Rom. 12:1 (NKJV)
B. You must read and memorize the Word of God
For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are. Heb. 4:12 (NLT)
C. You must understand prayer is the key.
praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints Eph. 6:18 (NKJV)
D. You must give a direct command to Satan to depart
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
James 4:7 (NKJV)
E. Pray the deliverance prayer
Almighty God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I bind and break the power of the powers and spirits of [ Name] I take back all the ground given to these powers and spirits by me, my parents, my forbearers, my family and I command them to leave me, to go into the pit of hell in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
F. You must plead or pray the Blood of Jesus
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Rev. 12:11 (NKJV)
G. There are three things contained in the Blood of Jesus –
forgiveness, deliverance and protection.
1. Forgiveness
"In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." (Ephesians 1:7)
2. Deliverance
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." (Revelations 12:11)
3. Protection
"For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." (1 John 3:8)
