People of GOD I want to say….as we began to reach the close of this year and the Genesis of another…. that unfortunately trouble is a part of life….If you are here today... and you don’t have any troubles......I want to tell you ......just keep on living.....because....trouble is going to find you......you can move from one house to the other.....you can move from…¦.state to state.....church to church.....by GOD you can move from country to country to try and avoid this....trouble.......but without in invitation.....without you asking him to come......here comes old trouble......You dont have to be doing nothing..... Job said in Job 3:26, For the thing which I greatly.......feared is come upon me, …and that which I was afraid of......... is come unto me.......I was not in safety,…. neither had I rest....yet trouble came
Listen... you can be minding.....your own, ...and thinking that every thing is just fine... and just like a blind sided accident.....you find yourself in the arms of....trouble…Yeah Yeah...we all have troubles....to some of us ….our troubles are......found in a soft pack menthol lights.....or some of our troubles are found in a 40oz of Old English.....and then ...there some of us whose troubles are found....in a relationship…..that is on the rocks......but whatever the case may be.......honey.....we all got......troubles…..Well not only that but we all..... get to a place and....or have been to a place where.....we wondered….how did I get in a MESS..... like this, how did I spend....so much money so fast…..why didn’t I just say no …why didn’t I sing the song ... …to that no good man......hit the road Jack...don’t you come back........no more.......!! instead of marrying him......How did I let her.....influence me into doing this.........HOW DID I GET IN A MESS LIKE THIS......yeah yeah.....
You know life sometimes....seem so unfair......we even as Christians and church folk.......try to make good decisions.......and try to live right…..and strive so willfully to be in the will of GOD and.....it seem so unfair that GOD would even allow these things to happen......Ahhhhh but even in our hard times…..even with ……..what you’ve…….. gone through.....even….with a set back ….there’s some good…….for I learned just a few years ago ¦that my SET BACK --- was a SET UP ---for my COME BACK!!!.....¦I learned that what I went through ¦..then........made my skin a little tougher ….¦it made me mature…. it made me a better me..
It made me realize how blessed I was..........it made me muster…. up a praise that I thought I didn’t have........it made my prepare…..for what GOD was getting ready to do in my life……And I think I need to stop right here and tell somebody that is going through…...I need to tell somebody…. that just about to give up……that you are being.....set up!!!......Look at somebody and tell em I’m being set up!!!....Setup for something GOOD!!!!
Look at like this…¦.when you place or order from a menu…..you may get it quick….because….the kitchen is used… to serving menu items but when you order your food with out the hot spices....or when you order something special…..it takes time…..to custom make these things…...so so so don’t feel discouraged ….and don’t loose hope…..cause GOD heard your prayer.….and heaven just took your order…...and GOD is custom making your blessing …. a blessing that’s going blow your mind.......So let me tell you.....Don’t you feel bad about when your going through...and when you are striving to do right....when your walking in the will of GOD…..for I learned that my blessing is bigger than my trial....huh?....tell somebody I feel my hair!!
Well as I move....In out text we find Samson in a set back situation.....yeah and we all know a little something about…set backs I’m sure…. but just in case you don’t……a set back is when you get off course…..¦when you lose focus ……when you get out of GOD’s will…..that is a set back…..anybody ever been there?.....I’m sure that during this course of this year…something happened to you....that altered your course….along the way…and caused a set back…..and of course Samson was lured-off course by this women…..Delilah....yeah ....and….because of his weaknesses …..and the enemies’ craftiness he is in a setback.........Well how do you know.....when you are in a setback.....well.....you know you’re in a setback …..when you began losing control......and you know you have lost control…..when the things that you use to control…...are now controlling you!...... Judges 16:21 But the Philistines took him,.....LISTEN.....there was a time in Samson life that the Philistines......even while great in number......were afraid to come against .....him......but now....that he’s lost control They are controlling him.....I think I need to stop and say......that we all need to check ourselves......look at what controlling you....may be your JOB....May be your CHILDREN......your spouse....or your significant other.....there maybe was a time when you could just have one cigarette,…. or just one drink and you’d be fine......but now that you’ve lost control... you’re.... smoking like a house on fire....and drinking like a desert camel......look at somebody and tell get control of it!!!...
Well not only that but we must be careful.......while going through…..not to lose vision.....and what is vision........I believe it is the course of life........that is sets you towards your purpose and destiny..........The bible says that the Philistines …..took him, and put out his eyes....understand that....... it is the ultimate plot........ of the enemy..........to make you lose vision......spiritual vision.....for the bible says…. Where there is no vision,....... the people perish.......and There is certainly a lack of vision today.......one reason is because we have right now mentality.......a microwave philosophy about everything.. We want it instantly.....we want it now.......but Vision is living life each moment..... with your purpose in mind!!
But less I bore you...Samson found himself….in the arms of trouble.......in the times...of a low place.....the stages of a set back......the bible says......And she (Delilah) made him sleep upon her knees....some even said ….that he laid his head ….in her lap while she rubbed his head.....I think I need to stop right here…..and tell somebody.....be careful where you lay your head!!....Some of us have laid our head in some strange places….and it has caused us to lose vision…..caused us to get off course...to get out of the will of GOD…...but tell somebody.....watch were you lay your head …..Well….as I move...the bible says…and she cause him …to shave off…..the seven locks of his head;…… and she began to afflict him,....and his strength went from him. …….Samson was now helpless….for his strength was in his hair…..yeah yeah ...the person who he had told all his heart to….had turned on him….yeah…..she flipped on him…..let me just ask you a question?....won’t folk flip on you?.....people you’ve trusted….. people you...spent time with….people….you grew up with…...people that say they love you!!! yeah. .folk will flip the script and act like they are doing right!....
But because of Samson’s set back…because of his detour….the bible says that the Lord departed from him....and how many know that when you …..step out of his will....you step out from his covering…..you step out from the shadow of the almighty..And the Bible says he was sent to prison...to grind in the mill....which was the work at that time...for slaves and workers….this show what his character was reduced to…..So here we have Samson…. in Love…..but with a broken heart…...blind in one eye…can’t out of the other…..the strength that use to make him famous….is now gone....he’s worst that Popeye without the spinach….he is in prison….among the low lifes….among people that have given up on life…..and given up on surviving….. and worst of all given up on GOD.
And the bible says…And it came to pass, ..when the philistines... hearts were merry, ..that they said,…..Call for Samson, …..that he may make us sport of him…..they wanted to make fun of him…..and let me stop and say…..won’t folk...get together and try to make a sport out of you …..while you’re going through…..but listen they called for Samson …..out of the prison house;…. and he made fun of him and picked on him....they ask him where was his GOD….where was his strength….and they set him between two pillars and the bible says …..Samson said unto the lad ….that held him by the hand,…..he told him……put my hands that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth,….. that I may lean upon them…
Now the house was full of men and women…making a mockery of Sampson and his GOD…..and all the lords of the Philistines were there; and there were people on the roof ….about three thousand men and women,…and they all looked….and made fun of Samson…but I believe that Samson...came to himself…just like the prodigal son…and he thought about…the time that he ripped…. a lion in two…with his bear hands….he thought the time…the time that he slew 1000 men.…with a jawbone of an ass…..and how he got water…. from that same jawbone …..miraculously....and while he was reminiscing...there east wind…..that blew between the pillars
And Samson….enjoying the breeze…and while enjoying the breeze…..he…...felt something.…swinging around his ears....something swinging…. ‘round his neck….. and I can hear Samson saying ….I CAN FEEL...MY HAIR…GROWING AGAIN….. SAY YEAH……And the bible says…that Samson began to call unto the LORD,....AINT IT A GOOD THING WHEN YOU’RE…DOWN AND OUT...AND EVERYBODY’S GIVEN UP ON YOU…you can call on the LORD!! .
But Samson…said, O Lord God remember me, ….you see…..he asked GOD...to
remember him…. because he’d gotten out of the will of GOD!......he said I pray thee,
strengthen me,….only this once,…. O God,…. that I may be at once avenged of the
Philistines…for mockery ofyour name…and…for my eyes...and the bible
says…about that time…the HOLY GHOST showed up….And Samson took hold of
the two middle pillars upon which the house stood,…. one with his right hand, and
of the other with his left And Samson said,…Let me die with the Philistines….And
he bowed himself with all his might; ..and the house fell upon the his enemies...won’t
GOD bring the house down on your enemies.......GOOD Morning New Direction…
