Colossians 3:15 and Psalm 133:1
Intro: Define Fellowship.
A. It is more than just showing up at services. It is more than a place where you attend church. It is also more than a casual conversation, socializing, food, and fun.
B. It is EXPERIENCING LIFE TOGETHER.
C. It includes unselfish loving, honest sharing, practical serving, sacrificial giving, and sympathetic comforting.
What is the difference between real and fake fellowship?
In real fellowship people experience authenticity. It is genuine, heart to heart. They share their hurts, reveal their feelings, confess their failures, disclose their doubts, admit their fears, acknowledge their weaknesses, and ask for help and prayer.
In real fellowship people experience mutuality. Mutuality is the art of giving and receiving.
In real fellowship people experience symphaty. Sympathy is entering in and sharing the pain of others.
In real fellowship people experience mercy. Fellowship is a place of grace. You can’t have fellowship without forgiveness.
