OUR PURPOSE AND VISION
Habakkuk 2:2-3 MSG
2And then GOD answered: "Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. 3This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming.
It aches for the coming--it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time.

I want to talk to you about purpose and vision.
In order for you to retain everything God has done in your life you must have a passion and a purpose and a vision that will change the course of your life. Why?

According to Proverbs 29:18a Where there is no vision, the people perish:
My paraphrase of this is “Where there is no dream or revelation or Rhema word from God, the people will go back and count as worthless and useless the Cross and perish.”
If you leave here without a Vision for your life your chances of holding onto the victory you have received are not good.
Those internal and external voices you have heard for so long will try to distract you, they want to keep you from your God given purpose.
YOU must leave this Encounter Weekend fully embracing what God has done in your life.
You have been set free and filled with the Holy Spirit and you must hold fast to the healing you have received, the revelation He has shown you and the words He has spoken to you.
No one else can do that for you. YOU must hold onto it.
You must leave with God’s purpose and vision for your life burning inside of you and it must direct you in all you do. Destiny has a purpose and vision, which directs us in all we do.
Destiny’s purpose and vision is taken directly from Jesus’ command in:

Matthew 28:19-20 – Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

The purpose and vision of Destiny is Winning Souls and Making Disciples!
As a member of Destiny it is essential that you understand that the vision God has given your Pastors is a vision, which includes you.

Hebrews 13:7-8 MSG Appreciate your pastoral leaders who gave you the Word of God. Take a good look at the way they live, and let their faithfulness instruct you, as well as their truthfulness. There should be a consistency that runs through us all. For Jesus doesn’t change—yesterday, today, tomorrow, he’s always totally himself.
There must be a consistency of the Vision running through Destiny Fellowship, from the Pastors to the cell leaders to the future cell leaders.
Now that you have been set free and filled with the Holy Spirit, it is time for you to begin to understand and to embrace your role as a member of Destiny in winning souls and making disciples.
You must believe that you have a vital role to play in the vision of Winning Souls and Making Disciples at Destiny.
God has called each and every one of us to be a part of the fulfillment of His plan for the redemption of mankind!

II Peter 3:9 (NRSV) The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some think of slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but all to come to repentance.
If you are to succeed you must have Vision and you must have faith that God has called you to be a part of this Vision!
Our Vision at Destiny is to very simple.
Our Vision is to Win souls and Make Disciples.

The Goal of our Vision is that every believer is a Leader.
This simply means that our goal is for every believer, including you, to be a person of influence in the area of winning souls and making disciples.
You have heard me talk about it, you have heard it shared at Prayer Meetings, in your Cells and it is always the same!
Winning souls and making disciples is the purpose God has for Destiny and for you.
You may have heard it said, a goal without a plan is just a wish; well we are not just sitting around wishing!

We have a plan; we call it the Process of the Vision.
We use this Process to efficiently and effectively execute our Vision and reach our goal.
The Process of the Vision is: WIN, CONSOLIDATE, DISCIPLE AND SEND.
Let’s look at each part of the process one at a time to see what each one means.

WIN
Winning is a process through which we proclaim the gospel to every person in a way that leads to true repentance. Unless there is true repentance they have not been won.
Winning occurs as each one of you share with others what God has done in your lives. This is your testimony.
Winning occurs when you use your influence to bring someone else to a personal relationship Jesus Christ.
Winning takes place in our cells, at our Net meetings, in Sunday morning Celebration Services but it also happens in homes, places of business.
Wherever and whenever a person is influenced to give their lives to Christ is when and where Winning occurs.
Do not limit yourself, rely on the Holy Spirit. Look at the people in your life, who do you or can you have influence on in order to bring them to Jesus? (Make a “Who do you know List!”)
Some might be people you see in your everyday life, at work, in stores, doctor’s offices, restaurants, (just to name a few).
Be ready to tell them why you have changed, why you are so different now. Speak and allow yourself to be used of God.
Pray for them, ask them to one of our Net Meetings! Invite them to your cell.
No matter who that person is they need to know Jesus and the Holy Spirit wants to use you to Win them!

CONSOLIDATE
Once a person gets saved they need to be consolidated.
The Consolidation process begins immediately after the new believer has made a decision for Christ. They are given an explanation of what has happened to re-affirm the redeeming work of Christ in their life.
Consolidation is loving, supporting and caring for an imperfect and wounded person who needs a new start in life.
Consolidation is “The care and attention that we give to every new believer in order to reproduce in them the character of Christ with the aim that they fulfill the purpose of God for their life which is to bear fruit that endures.”
You won them, you prayed them in and now you must consolidate them!
This is the time for you to impart what you have learned to others!

DISCIPLE
This is accomplished through:
< Sunday Celebration Service
< Cells
< Networks
Through these we get encouragement, direction for our lives and we are built up in our faith.
The word of God is taught and preached in a systematic, practical way.
Homes, children, marriages and generations are affected as God’s word cuts deep into our soul bringing us change and growth.
We also Disciple through our School of Leaders.
School of Leaders is a program of simple teaching of practical things, which help you develop into the Leader God has called you to be!

SEND
Our sending is done though the Principle of 12.
Using the model of Jesus with His 12 disciples we begin to develop leaders.
Once you have gone through the process of development, which by the way never ends, and are Winning Souls and Making Disciples your goal is to be sent out to birth a Cell.
You then become a part of your leaders “12”.
Eventually you will develop 12 faithful people that you disciple!
Church plants are also a part of Send.
There is power in Vision.
Vision is having a clear image of what God desires you to do and who God desires you to become!
Vision requires faith!
When we enter into a dimension of faith where we experience the creative, supernatural nature of God!
Vision brings fruitfulness and multiplication!
You will be an example of Gods Love as you follow the example of Jesus.
Jesus established relationships and won His men.
Jesus consolidated His men.
Jesus discipled His men.
And Jesus sent His men out to change the world!

Your purpose is the God given purpose of every believer, winning souls and making disciples!
How many can be honest with yourself & God & say, Pastor I don’t feel I have been connected to the vision.
But since I have heard it clear & plain I am going to commit to God & this family of believers to carry this vision wherever God leads me!!!!!
Then there are others who would say, I love this church & vision & I want God to live this vision through me a greater way than ever before so I am coming hungry & desperate for God to use me in greater ways than I ever thought possible!!!!!!
Jesus says, COME!
