Call to Send Luke 10:1

After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go

The mother of Christian Schwartz died as he was born. Before her death she exacted this promise from her husband: “When my baby becomes a man and God calls him to be a missionary, promise me that you will not stand in his way!” In those days, foreign missionary enterprise was almost unknown. Years passed. One day a brilliant young man came from the university and said, “Father, God has called me to be a missionary!” Tears filled the father’s eyes as he recalled the promise he gave to his dying wife. “Answer the call, my son, and may God’s blessings be continually upon you,” said the father. Christian Schwartz went to India, a pioneer missionary in the generation before William Carey.

Newspapermen went down from London to report at firsthand the marvelous happenings of the great Welsh revival at the turn-of-the- century. On their arrival in Wales one of them asked a policeman where the Welsh revival was. Drawing himself to his full height he laid his hand over his heart and proudly proclaimed: “Gentlemen, the Welsh revival is inside this uniform!” He had caught the holy fire.

We need preach with a conviction that prison, religion , govt., Demons, Cesar, tradition, Hell can not stop us from preaching this message.

Jesus was in glory of heaven and heard the message to come to this earth to save you and me. He was a thermostat. Devil tempted him many time to change, showed Him everything, threaten him, showed him the money, power, but with LOVE he change the environment.

One Missionary went to village and wanted to show the Love of Jesus Christ and couldn’t relate that to the people. Then he used this illustration. One man looked and saw some ants were traveling. They travel in lines. When he looked and saw there was a fire at the end of the way. The only way to get out of the fire is to deviate but not one of them doing that, they just following the one ant moving ahead one another. Finally this man decided to solve the problem and realizes that only way I can save this ant is to become one of them. He became an ant and went in front of the line and slowly changes the route and save all the ants from ending up in the fire. This is what Jesus did on the cross. He became one of us. There is a calling - who will go for us. He said here I am send me.
