What God Calls His Children
1. He Calls You and I Believers: this Describes Our Convictions.
Acts 5:14
And all the more believers in the Lord, multitudes of men and women, were constantly added to {their number}
1 Tim 4:12
Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but {rather} in speech, conduct, love, faith {and} purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.
2. He Calls You and I Brethren: this Describes Our Company.
Acts 6:3
"But select from among you, brethren, seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this task.
Rom 12:1
I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, {which is} your spiritual service of worship.
3. He Calls You and I Disciples: this Describes Our Committment.
Acts 9:1
Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,

And when it was evening, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus.
4. He Calls You and I Christians: this Describes Our Conduct.
Acts 11:26
and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. And it came about that for an entire year they met with the church, and taught considerable numbers; and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
1 Pet 4:16
but if {anyone suffers} as a Christian, let him not feel ashamed, but in that name let him glorify God.
5. He Call You and I Saints: this Describes Our Character.
Acts 9:13
But Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he did to Thy saints at Jerusalem;
Rom 1:7
to all who are beloved of God in Rome, called {as} saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
