KEY SCRIPTURE: 1Cor 15:51-52 His Coming
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Those that are ready will be caught up to meet him.
1 Thess 4:15-18
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Not everyone will be caught up though.
Matt 25:6,10-13 5 taken 5 left
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
1 minute after midnight there’ll be people pounding on the church door. By midnight I don’t mean at 12:01 am. But 1 minute after Jesus comes.
Where will David be at 1 minute after midnight?
Ps 119:62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.
As it was in Noah’s day
Matt 24:36-42 Illustration 1
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
I believe 1 minute after midnight they were pounding on the ark.
Luke 17:34-36 1 taken 1 left
I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Acts 1:11 A cloud from Heaven
Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
It’ll be different this time. He won’t be pushed aside. No beatings, no scourging, no cross, no vinegar, and no sword to pierce his side.
Where will you be at 1 minute after midnight.
The New York Times want to be the first to print the story. They already have the headline laid out. I don’t want to be here to read it. Do you?
Where will you find yourself 1 minute after midnight? Will you be with the Jesus or will you be gazing into the sky wondering why he chose this day?
1 minute after midnight.
