Many believers desire God's miracles but are not ready to obey His commands. To witness God's wonders, we must first dedicate our lives to Him. Please rate this sermon and provide brief feedback.

Introduction

Do you desire blessings from God? I believe we all do. However, many Christians are not willing to live according to God's ways. They prefer preachers who focus solely on material blessings rather than living for God. But the truth is, if we want to experience miracles from God, we must first consecrate our lives. This is the promise for our church this year. Let's turn to Joshua 3:5 to understand the importance of consecration.

I. The Need for Consecration

Consecration means separating ourselves from sin and drawing near to God. It involves cleansing ourselves and making a fresh start with the Lord. Just as water cleanses our bodies, God cleanses our hearts from sin. We need consecration because we live in a sinful world and possess sinful hearts. While we don't have to completely cut off from the world, it is wise to distance ourselves from friends who may lead us into sin. We are called to live in the world but not be influenced by its sinful ways.

II. The Means of Consecration

In the Old Testament, consecration involved bathing, washing clothes, and abstaining from sexual activity. However, as believers in Jesus, we are not bound by these ceremonial laws. Instead, we consecrate ourselves through the Word of God. By reading, meditating, memorizing, and living according to His Word, we align our lives with His will. Prayer, giving, fellowship, and service are also means of consecration. Ultimately, it is the Holy Spirit who enables us to live holy lives.

III. The Blessings of Consecration

When we live consecrated lives, God is pleased and blesses us. He promises to do wonders among us, just as He did for the Israelites when He opened the Red Sea and led them into the Promised Land. Living a holy life brings blessings, both in this life and in eternity. Even if we don't receive material rewards, we can be assured of eternal rewards.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we should consecrate ourselves to receive amazing blessings from God. Let's make a firm decision to live consecrated lives for His glory. The Lord desires to do amazing things, but are we prepared to receive them? Let's consecrate ourselves and our families so that we can witness the amazing works of God in our lives. If you have not yet accepted Jesus as your Savior, I urge you to repent and give your life to Him today.
