Prayer And Preaching Reaches The World

Summary: More prayer & preaching is what will reach the world, no matter how many programs the church has to offer. This passage of scripture tells us a lot about prayer and how we, as individuals and as a church, should be doing daily.
More prayer & preaching is what will reach the world, no matter how many programs the church has to offer. This passage of scripture tells us a lot about prayer and how we, as individuals and as a church, should be doing daily.
• No doubt the early church prayed for days, preached a few minutes and three thousand souls were saved.
• Acts 2:41, Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.
• Today’s church may pray for ten minutes, preach a ten-day revival, and may see thirty souls get saved.
• Early church could not keep Peter from prison, but prayer got him out of prison.
• The want for more money is not needed (greed).
• Political influence will not reach the world with the Gospel.
• Financial influence will not reach the world with the Gospel.
• Societal influence will not reach the world with the Gospel.
How did Jesus pray?
• Matthew 6:9-13, After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Pray for sick.
• James 5:14, Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
Pray for everything. Prayer without faith is prayer in vain.
• Philippians 4:6-7, Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
• 1 Peter 5:7, Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.
• We are to look at the Motivation to praying.
• We are to look at the Measure of praying.
• We are to look at the Method of praying.
• We are to look at the Miracle in praying.
