Summary: When young age challenges, do it with boldness and courage but don't end there. Get back into your prayer closet and pray a prayer

May the peace of the Lord be with you.

Topic: PRAY A PRAYER

Acts 4:23-31 King James Version (KJV)

23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:

25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?

26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Beloved, when the Apostles challenged the Pharisees and their team with boldness and were released, that was not the end of it.

They knew these Pharisees would find another means to try to stop them. They knew that others who may not be as bold as they were could encounter similar challenges and give up.

So when they got back to their camp, *THEY PRAYED A PRAYER*.

Beloved when they challenge you and you face them boldly, don't end there. When you get back to your base, pray a prayer. Like the Apostles prayed.

Let us break their prayer down and appreciate the form it took:

1. They praised God - vs24

2.They reminded God of His Word (promises, principles, what He has done or said before in defence of the people before them) - vs25,26

3. They mentioned their challenge - vs27

4. They then, acknowledge that, though it looks negative, He the Lord Gid Almighty allowed it because without Him nothing (good or bad) can ever happen - vs28

5.They then made their request to God Almighty, keeping in mind their challenge - vs29,30

And when they had prayed God answered them and they received their request to enable them push the Kingdom Agenda.

In all our prayers, no matter what we ask for; money, power, favour, grace etc etc, our focus should be on the Kingdom Agenda.

*IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. When our focus is Jesus, we would not miss the KINGDOM AGENDA.

Prayer: Father please cause in me an insatiable desire to push the Kingdom Agenda always. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
