Power Of The Spoken Word

Summary: The power of God backs us up when we dare to speak His Word with faith, love, authority, and full expectation.
Jesus said in John 6:63, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”.
Genesis 1:26 says, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth”.
God having created man in His image, after His likeness, and with His dominion as a spirit being possessing a soul and living in a body, He gave man the ability to speak forth spirit and life words and see the words become a reality.
God spoke these words to Joshua in Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”. In essence, the Father was saying that My Words must not depart out of your mouth, but you must meditate in them all the time so that you will make a note to do everything in My Word. For then your way will be prosperous, and you will have good success.
Proverbs 4:20-24 says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee”.
Matthew 12:34-37 says, “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned”.
Mark 11:22-26 says, “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses”. Have the faith of God by unwaveringly speaking the Word of God with the forgiveness of God, and you and I shall have our heart’s desire.
Jesus said in John 15:7, “If ye abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you”.
James 3:5-6 says, “Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell”. The words spoken from our mouth change the course, or direction, of the environment around us.
When we renew our thinking to think His thoughts by meditating in His Word continually and make a point in life to do what is in His Word by walking in love, then we can let the words of our mouth that come from our heart cause the course of nature around us and others to flow towards bringing life to people and not death. The power of God backs us up when we dare to speak His Word with faith, love, authority, and full expectation. Amen.
