Ephesians 6:4

1. Fathers are to be the Spiritual ELDERS of the home. (v. 4a) Genesis 18:19

2. Fathers, do not EXASPERATE your children. (v. 4b) provoke(rouse) to wrath or anger, irritate Colossians 3:21

3. Fathers, be the primary EDUCATORS of your children. (v. 4c) nourish, promote health & strength Deuteronomy 6:7; Ephesians 5:29; Psalm 71:17-18

4. Fathers, provide ENCOURAGEMENT / EXHORTATION in Growth for your children. (v. 4d) nurture, discipline, train up Proverbs 22:6; 2 Peter 3:18; Hebrews 10:25

i. Develop Correct BELIEF 2 Timothy 1:5; 2:2; 3:14-15

ii. Develop Correct BEHAVIOR Proverbs 19:18; 22:6, 15; 23:13-14; 29:15, 17

5. Fathers, EMPHASIZE right over wrong for the sake of your children. (v. 4e) warning, admonition 1 Corinthians 10:11; Titus 3:10

6. Fathers, lead by EXAMPLE. (v. 4f) of the LORD 1 Corinthians 11:l; Ephesians 4:1; Joshua 24:15
