Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as

yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his

house; by the which he condemned the world, and became

heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

1. Walked with God Gen 6:9-10

When I became a dad, I didn’t have a clue as to what I should do

A good father has to walk with God so he can learn from God

Eph 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

He made having a relationship with God his top priority

Austin L. Sorensen once said, "A child is not likely to find a father in

God unless he finds something of God in his father."

2. Obeyed God Gen 6:22

Gen 7:5 And Noah did according unto all that the LORD

commanded him.

Eph 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

1 Pet 1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to

the former lusts in your ignorance: 15 But as he which hath

called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

How would it have turned out if Noah decided to build the ark his way?

3. Relied on God

Pro 3: 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine

own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and

he shall direct thy paths.

Jer 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man,

and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from

the LORD.

Gen 6:18 But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt

come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy

sons' wives with thee.

Would you ride in a car that didn’t have a steering wheel?

The ark didn’t have a rudder
