A. Falls into temptation

"But those who crave to be rich fall into temptation"

Matthew 26:41 (Amplified Bible)

26:41 All of you must keep awake (give strict attention, be cautious and active) and watch and pray, that you may not come into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (Amplified Bible)

10:13 For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

James 1:13-14 (Amplified Bible)

1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one.

1:14 But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions).

We fall into temptation and one of the many factors or reason is the desire to get wealth. On the contrary, desire GOD and GOD will make you wealthy. It's a world of difference.

Psalms 37:4 (Amplified Bible)

37:4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.

2 Corinthians 8:9 (Amplified Bible)

8:9 For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).

B. Falling into a trap

"and a snare"

Dissipation is the trap. Dissipation is defined as "the act of scattering; dispersion; the state of being dispersed;" It's a rat race out there, people who want to get rich scatters it to make more friends who wants to get his/her money, then labors and works hard to get more money and does the same cycle over and over again and they don't know how to stop it.

Proverbs 28:10 (Amplified Bible)

28:10 Whoever leads the upright astray into an evil way, he will himself fall into his own pit, but the blameless will have a goodly inheritance.

Luke 21:34 (Amplified Bible)

21:34 But take heed to yourselves and be on your guard, lest your hearts be overburdened and depressed (weighed down) with the giddiness and headache and nausea of self-indulgence, drunkenness, and worldly worries and cares pertaining to [the business of] this life, and [lest] that day come upon you suddenly like a trap or a noose;

2 Timothy 3:7 (Amplified Bible)

3:7 [These weak women will listen to anybody who will teach them]; they are forever inquiring and getting information, but are never able to arrive at a recognition and knowledge of the Truth.
