1 Thessalonians 2:5-6

I. Paul’s COURAGE before them. (vv. 1-4).

II. Paul’s COMMITMENT to them. (vv. 5-6) John 2:23-25; Proverbs 14:5; 1 Corinthians 4:2; 1 Timothy 1:12

A. He did not use CUNNING words to gain them. (v. 5a) Compromise by Flattery Job 17:5; Psalm 12:2-3; Proverbs 20:19; 26:28; 28:23

B. He was not COVETOUS but committed. (v. 5b) Exodus 20:17; Isaiah 56:11; Jeremiah 6:13; Acts 20:33; Romans 16:18; 2 Corinthians 4:2; 1 Timothy 3:3; 1 Peter 5:2; Hebrews 13:5

C. He was CLEAR before God. (v. 5c) God is witness Romans 1:9; 9:1; Galatians 1:20
