This sermon encourages appreciation and esteem for pastors, God's chosen servants, who guide us through spiritual trials with divine wisdom and love.

Introduction

Good morning, beloved family of God. It's truly a joy to gather together in this sacred space, bound by our shared love for the Lord and our desire to grow ever closer to Him. Today, we find ourselves on the cusp of a new understanding, standing at the threshold of a deeper appreciation for those He has anointed to guide us on our path to spiritual maturity.

As we open our hearts and minds to the words of God, we're reminded of the profound wisdom of Charles Spurgeon who once said, "The Lord gets his best soldiers out of the highlands of affliction." Each of us, in our own way, have faced the highlands of affliction, and it is through these trials that we are shaped and molded into soldiers of Christ. It is through these trials that we come to understand the true value of God's chosen servants, our pastors, who stand with us in the midst of our battles, guiding us with divine wisdom and love.

God's Chosen Servant

We find ourselves drawn to the idea of servanthood as it is presented in the Bible. This is not a role that is forced upon anyone, but rather, it is a calling that is answered. It is a position of honor, of humility, and of great responsibility. It is a role that requires a heart that is willing to serve, to love, and to guide. This is the role that our pastors have answered to, a role that they have willingly accepted.

The Bible tells us that God chooses His servants. He doesn't just pick anyone, but He carefully selects those who have a heart for His people, those who are willing to dedicate their lives to serving Him and guiding His flock. This is a role that requires commitment, dedication, and a deep love for God and His people. It's not a role that can be taken lightly, but one that requires a deep understanding of God's Word and a willingness to live it out in every aspect of life.

Our pastors are God's chosen servants. They have been called by Him, chosen by Him, and equipped by Him to lead His people. They are not just leaders, but they are shepherds, guiding us along the right path, leading us closer to God, and helping us to grow in our faith.

The role of a pastor requires a lot of sacrifice, a lot of hard work, and a lot of love. But it is a role that is filled with joy, with fulfillment, and with the knowledge that they are doing God's work. Our pastors are not just doing a job, they are answering a calling. They are not just fulfilling a role, they are living out their faith. They are not just serving us, they are serving God.

The Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 to appreciate those who labor among us, those who have charge over us in the Lord and give us instruction. This is a call to recognize the value of our pastors, to appreciate the work they do, and to love them for their service. It's not just about acknowledging their role, but about understanding the importance of it, the significance of it, and the impact it has on our lives.

Our pastors are not just leaders, they are servants. They are not just teachers, they are guides. They are not just preachers, they are shepherds. They are a blessing to us, a gift from God, and we are called to appreciate and support them in their work.

In the Bible, we see many examples of God's chosen servants. We see Moses, who was chosen by God to lead His people out of Egypt. We see David, who was chosen by God to be king over Israel. We see Paul, who was chosen by God to spread the gospel to the Gentiles. Each of these individuals were chosen by God, not because of their abilities, but because of their hearts. They were willing to serve, to lead, and to guide God's people. They were willing to answer the call, to follow God's leading, and to do His work.

Our pastors are no different. They have been chosen by God, not because of their abilities, but because of their hearts. They are willing to serve, to lead, and to guide us. They are willing to answer the call, to follow God's leading, and to do His work.
