Pass The Salt
Contributed by Dr.w.samuel Legon on Sep 16, 2010 (message contributor)
Summary: As a child of God we need to be well seasoned to stand in this sin filled world today.
PASS THE SALT
Mark 9:49For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.
50Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
Lev. 2:13And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.
Col.4:5Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Our preaching praying ,teaching and singing in every service needs to be seasoned with salt.
1.Used in the meat offering for flavor .
Love, Joy, peace
Happiness, goodness
Meekness , temperance, longsuffering
2. Used in the meal offering for fellowship
Smooth out the rough spots
Clean out the bitter taste
Smack your lips with pleasant taste
3.Used in the sin offering for friendship
Harmony among family and friends
Heavenly in the presence of God
Happiness for those that want it
4.Used in the sin offering for forgiveness
Removes the guilt of offending sin
Restores the grace of God inside the saved
Reminds us of the gift of Salvation
5.Used in the sacrifice to fight decay
Stops the ruin , starts the purifying process
Sour, sarcastic, selfish, sensual, soul made pleasant
Savory sweetens up the life of the believer
6. Used on life raw flesh will burn and irritate
Conviction before conversion Pour on the salt preacher
Condemnation before cleansing Rub the raw place preacher
Come to Christ now for spiritual comforts and shout it out I am saved
