“PRAISE THROUGH SATAN’S DOOR”

By

Bishop M.L. Maughmer, Jr.

SCRIPTURE :- Psalms 100:4 "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name".

Understand that this scripture is a principal. It tells us how we are to enter into His kingdom.

Opening: Let me set the foundation for this message. I work at the V.A. As you know for the past several months the V.A. has been in the news and unfortunately due to mishandling miscommunication several people have died as a result of what was done in one aspect of the V.A. Understand that the V.A. is made up of many different parts but it is one entity so even though the parts that were in the news dealt mainly with the V.As. that deals with surgical procedures the V.A. as a whole was effected.

WATCH THIS when one aspect of the church messes up it bring reproach upon the entire body of Christ. So we must make sure that we do not bring shame to the body of Christ.

We are epistles read of all men. Somebody is watching you for you are the only Jesus they will see.

The VA. I work for is predominantly a psychiatric facility. We have primary and specialty care but the predominate aspect of it is psychiatric and therefore we deal with people that have mental issues.

The most common type of mental issue is what is called P.T.S.D. or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

HISTORY:- Prior to studies on Vietnam Veterans there was little scientific studies done on what is called today P.T.S.D.

In the 1800s the condition was called exhaustion following the stress of battle and characterized by mental shutdown.

In the 1900s during WW1 the term "shell shock" emerged. During WW2 the term "combat fatigue" came to be known.

After Vietnam and extensive studies in 1980 the term Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or P.T.S.D. was used and is officially the term used today.

P.T.S.D. is described as occurring when a person has been exposed to a traumatic event. The person either experienced witnessed or was confronted with an event or events that involved actual or threatened death or serious injury or the threat WATCH THIS the threat of the integrity of self. REMEMBER THAT.........

SYMPTOMS:- Feeling upset by things that remind you of what happened in the past.

Having nightmares vivid memories flashbacks.

Feeling emotionally cut off from others.

Feeling numb or looking interest in things you used to care about.

Becoming depressed.

Anxious

Difficulty sleeping

Can't keep your mind on one thing

Having a hard time relating to others.

TREATMENT"- There are 2 types of treatments for P.T.S.D. and that is counseling and medication. Counseling can help you understand your thoughts and discover ways to cope with your feelings.

Medication called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors cause you to feel less worried or sad.

Someone may be saying Bishop where are you going with this. I came today to preach about P.T.S.D. not Post Traumatic Stress Disorder but P.T.S.D. Praise Through Satan's Door.

UNDERSTAND that a door is used to block off access to or within a space.

Sometimes the devil places doors or WATCH THIS gates in our way to try to stop our progress. In this battle the doors Satan uses are hindrances and barricades to try to stop us. Jesus said and the gates of hell shall not prevail against us.

MESSAGE:- WATCH THIS - The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:4 " (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds".

WATCH THIS:- warfare comes from a Greek word that means military service. Paul is saying that this Christian journey is one of hardship and danger, there are difficulties that oppose us and cause stresses and present some traumatic events. We are in a spiritual battle literally spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6:12 says For we wrestle not against † flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places".

WATCH THIS:- this spiritual warfare causes traumatic events that can cause strongholds . Strongholds are P.T. S. D. On. Spiritual level.

REMEMBER:- P.T. S. D. Is a mental condition brought on by traumatic events.

Strongholds are mindset (mental condition) that are impregnated with helplessness, hopelessness, doubt, anxiety, depression, and discouragement that causes a person to believes something in their life is unchangeable even if it goes contrary to the will of God.

A stronghold is a spiritually mental issue. A person believes in their mind that this is the way it's because of some event.

Literally they are a mental door that is placed in a persons thoughts that try to stop them from progressing to another place.
