Strategies for Spiritual Battles
Hidden curses are the most troublesome and difficult to deal with. Many people are unaware of the foundational curses that have been silently affecting their lives since birth. These hidden curses are the wicked weapons used by the devil to torment and hinder us. However, by reversing these hidden curses, we can experience a transformation and live a life of joy and fulfillment.
Curses are the opposite of blessings. When someone curses another person, they express an evil wish or intention, causing harm or misfortune to that individual. Curses can bind a person with negative influences, just like spells used by witches. They are violent expressions of evil that bring calamity and torment.
In the book of Nehemiah and 2 Kings, we find examples of curses and their effects. Nehemiah 13:2 tells us how the prophet Balaam was hired to curse the children of Israel, but God turned the curse into a blessing. In 2 Kings 2:13-21, we see how Elisha used salt to heal the waters of Jericho, breaking the curse upon the city.
Curses have the following characteristics:
1. They can be turned into blessings by God.
2. They act as invisible barriers, keeping people away from God's blessings.
3. They can be passed down from generation to generation.
4. They have catastrophic effects and cause great problems.
5. They provide legal grounds for evil spirits to operate.
Curses can come from various sources, including disobedience to God's commands. Disobedience invites curses from God, which only He can remove. Proverbs 26:2 states that a curse without cause will not come, meaning there must be a reason for a curse to take root.
Curses can result from sexual immorality, such as fornication, adultery, and incest. They can also be caused by bribery, stealing, shedding innocent blood, false acquisition of land, and other sinful acts. Curses can be attached to objects, such as second-hand materials, if they were involved in evil practices.
When under a curse, a person may struggle and find it difficult to make progress. They may experience chronic frustration, make wrong decisions, and face continuous problems. Curses can pollute the heart, bring sorrow, and lead to strange thoughts and desires. They can hinder success and cause failure at critical moments.
To break hidden curses, we must first repent and turn away from the actions that brought the curse upon us. Complete repentance is necessary for complete freedom. Jesus Christ became a curse for us on the cross, redeeming us from all curses. Therefore, we can be set free from curses through faith in Him.
1. Pray for God's healing power to enter the foundation of your life.
2. Pray for God's healing fire to cleanse the foundation of your life.
3. Command any demon attached to curses to depart from your life.
4. Pray for all curses issued against you to be converted into blessings.
5. Break specific curses such as those related to mental and physical sickness, failure and defeat, poverty, family break-up, oppression, bad reputation, and personal destruction.
Hidden curses are powerful forces that can hinder our lives and bring about various problems. However, through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, we can break these curses and experience freedom and blessings. Let us rely on God's power to overcome hidden curses and live a life of victory.
