Household enemies are more dangerous because you are usually less cautious with them. You usually have no problem dealing with known enemies. But you lower your guards at home because you believe you are in the midst of people who love and care for you.
Today, we will delve into the topic of household enemies and how to break their power over our lives. Household enemies can be more dangerous than known enemies because we often let our guard down around those we trust. These enemies can be found within our own families, such as a wicked spouse, a jealous sibling, or even a conniving relative. It is important to recognize and address these threats, as they can hinder our progress and well-being.
1. Joseph and his brothers (Genesis 37:20-24):
Joseph's brothers were envious of him because of his dreams of future greatness. They even plotted to kill him but ended up selling him into slavery. We must be aware of family members who are jealous of our progress or dreams.
2. Leah and Rachel (Genesis 30:1-10):
Leah and Rachel, two sisters, engaged in bitter rivalry due to husband-snatching. This kind of jealousy and competition still exists today, and we must guard against family members who covet what we have.
3. Absalom and his brother (2 Samuel 13-18):
Absalom killed his brother for raping their sister and later led a coup against their father. This shows that even within families, there can be deep-seated resentment and a thirst for revenge.
4. Cain and Abel (Genesis 4:8-11):
Cain, out of envy, murdered his brother Abel. This serves as a reminder that even those closest to us can harbor ill intentions.
1. Those on an afflicting mission.
2. Those on an avenging mission.
3. Those on a killing mission.
4. Those on an exchanging mission.
5. Those on a money-making mission.
6. Those on a glory-taking mission.
7. Those on a character-assassinating mission.
1. Envy and jealousy:
When others feel threatened by our progress or blessings, they may become our enemies.
2. Greed:
Some people may seek to improve themselves at our expense, even within our own families.
3. Pride:
Individuals who crave worship and recognition may turn against us if we do not meet their expectations.
4. Sheer wickedness:
Some family members may be involved in witchcraft or other dark practices, leading them to harm us.
5. Fear and suspicion:
If we have unintentionally hurt or offended someone close to us, they may become our enemies out of fear or suspicion.
It is important to remember that as we grow in anointing and spiritual maturity, we may attract attacks from the enemy. The level of anointing we carry will determine the intensity of these attacks. However, we should not be discouraged, for God is with us and will protect us from our enemies.
In times of envy, hatred, and jealousy within the Christian community, we should not fear. Our enemies are surrounded by God's heavenly army, and they are at our mercy. Let us trust in God's power and continue to walk in His ways, knowing that He will deliver us from the grip of household enemies.
