Summary: Satan is our enemy and he is on the prowl

When the Barna Research Group asked Americans about Satan, they discovered that 62 percent of the adult population believe that Satan “is not a living being but is a symbol of evil.”

Rev. 12:9-And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

2 Corinthians 11:14-And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

Satan disguises himself as an angel of light in order that his ways might seem appealing to us. His goal is to deceive us, for he is a liar.

John 8:43-44-Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.

You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.

1 Peter 5:8-Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

Satan wants to deceive us and to cause us to fall prey to his many traps and snares.

He wants to bring us down with his numerous lies and then totally devour us.

He not only wants to trick you, he wants to destroy you!

Remember it like this: God has got a plan for your life but the Devil has a plot for your life!

There are three appearances that stand out when see the Devil at work, many times we see him behind the scenes stirring up trouble, but these are times we see him at work!

1-The Garden of Eden-Best Place or Best Situation (Genesis 1-3)

2- In The life of Job-Best Believer (Job 1:6-8)

3-In The Wilderness With Jesus-Best Salvation (Matt. 4:1-11)

(1)-Sometimes you can be in the best situation of life or the best place in your life and that’s when Satan hits you the hardest!

Ever notice that when people reach their goals that’s when there world begins to fall apart!

(2)-You can be trying to do everything right, be trying to live right and that’s when Satan attacks you!

You have people mad at you for no reason, seems like everything you touch just falls apart, you got more problems now than you did when you weren’t trying to live right!

You can be the best person and still have more than your share of troubles!

(3)-You can be saved and have victory in Jesus and still Satan can come and try to trip you up!

He can hit you with all kinds of temptations!

His Strategy:

1-He does not want anyone to follow after God!

Ever heard the old saying-Misery loves company?

Satan is out to get everybody that he can!

Two Minute Drill-His time is running out!

(Violence, hatred, selfish, rude, thieves)

2-If he can’t get you…(Trust me he is going to try!)

Then he wants to mess up your witness!

Have you ever noticed that when you say the wrong word or do the wrong thing, there is always someone right there that sees you or hears you?

Our Strategy:

We need to recognizes that we have an enemy and then every day we need to pray for ourselves that we will not be trick by his schemes, or fall for his plots or listen to his lies but that God will direct our path, and give us the strength to resist temptation!

We need to pray for others! Because if we know that he is attacking us we have to know he is attacking others just as hard!

Prayer Is The Difference Between Victory And Defeat!!!
