Our Spiritual Great Divide

Mat 26:36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

Mat 26:37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

Mat 26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

Mat 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

Mat 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

Mat 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Mat 26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

Mat 26:43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

Mat 26:44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

Mat 26:45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

Mat 26:46 Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

Mat 26:47 And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

Mat 26:48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

Mat 26:49 And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

Mat 26:50 And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

The Continental Divide or Great Divide is a ridge of mountains in North America and Central America which separates the major watershed that flows west into the Pacific Ocean from the ones that flow north into the Arctic Ocean and south-east into the Gulf of Mexico. Most of the divide follows the crest of the Rocky Mountains

There are places along this divide where they look on both sides the absolute same

At the continental divide it is a place of separation this is a place of strong flowing water

But when you get over to Denver ,Co you hit an area of the great divide where on one side the current is pressing against you and trying to push you down

And you are climbing up against the sharp rocks

but as soon as you cross over this divide it is no longer a steep rocky sharp climb up and ni longer is the swift current pushing and trying to pull you under

but now the current is propelling you and the law of gravity is no longer doing it s job and trying to pull you down it is now helping you to push forward

toward your goal

at the continental divide there is a change

I am talking today to some people who have been pressing up against a mountain that wont move

I am talking to some people today that has been wearied by the swift moving current of life

But there are times when we are pressing and struggling and crawling and breathing hard and we cross over to the other side and this is that very day for some

A time when you are no longer climbing over them you are now walking on them

This usually happens when we get determined to not settle for just good church meetings

Not just settle for being a good Christian

But I want my prayers to get through to heaven and back down to earth

I am no longer satisfied w/ not impacting anybody

I must see my family delivered from depression addictions anger bitterness

I must become a tool in the hand of the master builder

I must walk in the spirit

I must be used of god for healing and deliverance and restoration

Jesus continental divide was in the garden of gethsamane

Where they pressed the olives to get the oil out

The lord built momentum in the garden

It was where his flesh fought against his spirit

But he prayed and prayed and prayed and the spirit won

I know certain people who were troubled who were in and out and up and down
