Our Position In Christ

OUR POSITION IN CHRIST

TEXT- 1 PETER 2:9-10

INTRODUCTION- our position in Christ means that are no more foreigners or slaves but Sons of God so that where Christ is, there we will be also- John 14:3. We are a chosen race-before the creation of the world, a kingly minister of God, having the righteousness of Christ and purchased/owned by His blood to express and show Christ in all manifestations.

WE ARE SEATED WITH CHRIST- Eph 2:6-7, Col 2:12, Rom 6:4

Jesus Christ has a place- at the right hand of the father (Acts 7:55-56) –the place of Authority and dominion over all things and that is where we are with Him- Eph 1:22. Anyone who has received salvation and is walking the Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven. This is because we have Christ in us and no other place but that place. It is also a place of divine Inheritance- the place of His Begotten Sons by the Word (Jesus Christ)- 1 Peter 1:23-24, James 1:18. We have all things in Christ- Rom 8:17-18, Gal 4:7

WE ARE PART OF CHRIST- 1 Cor 15:22, Eph 4:4, Col 1:18

When we trusted in Christ, we were made alive together with Christ- Eph 2:4-7. We are the body of Christ – Rom 12:5, 1 Cor 12:27. In the crucifixion, burial and the resurrection of Christ, His physical body represented the body of Christ which is the church – so if anybody believes in Him, He will receive the victory of His body- Col 1:22-24. As the glorious body of Christ was not bound in the grave, so shall the glorious body of the church receive victory (the resurrection of the body) – 1 Thess 4:16-18.

WE ARE FAR ABOVE ALL- Col 2:15, Eph 1:21, 1 John 4:4

In Jesus Christ, we are placed far above the Powers of darkness both in Authority and Power-Matthew 28:18, Luke 10:19. No devil is more anointed than anybody who is in Christ Jesus- Luke 9:1. In fact we are the watchers of the world, we decree a thing and it comes to pass- Col 1:18, Job 22:28, Matthew 18:18. Our wisdom is far above- Eph 3:10 and we are beyond the earth realm- John 18:36, John 17:16, 1 John 5:4-5

WE ARE TO JUDGE WITH CHRIST – 1 Cor 6:1-3, Rev 20:4, Matt 24:45-47

The judgment of Christ is not limited to passing sentence, but constitutes His reign as king over the earth. The saints will judge the world, and the angels to show forth the supremacy of Christ in us. We will reign together with Him in glory forever- 2 Tim 2:12. Our kingdom and thrones is eternal-Matthew 19:28, Luke 22:28-30. If we will have this mind set then we will not subject ourselves to sin and Satan, not even angels. Psalm 122:4-5, Psalm 149:6-9

WE ARE THE HARVEST OF CHRIST- Luke 10:2, Revelation 14:13-15, Titus 2:13-14

Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Harvest and we will be gathered into His barn – Matt 13:30. Everyone that is in Christ is the harvest of Christ and we are in His field. Let nobody spoil or be used to destroy the harvest of Christ because we are His property. We are separated from destruction. Jesus Christ is expectantly joyful over His harvest.
