Our God Is Able

Title : Our God is able

Text : 2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he {is able} to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

This is the last epistle of apostle Paul , in his entire ministry , he has fully known the power and providence of God 2 Timothy 3:11 , he reminded Timothy that we are serving a Sovereign God. God can do what he pleases. Throughout the ages God hath shown this power. I pray that we will be strengthened and put our sole confidence in our Omnipotent LORD. May we find comfort and strength as we ponder that Our Great God is Able :

I. God Is Able To Deliver Us from Dangers

Daniel 3:17 If it be [so], our God whom we serve {is able} to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver [us] out of thine hand, O king.

II . God Is Able To Abase The Proud

Daniel 4: 37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works [are] truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he {is able} to abase.

III. God Is Able To Restore and Renew Us

Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God {is able} to make him stand.

IV. God Is Able To Provide and Supply Our Needs

2 Corinth. 9:8 And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work:

Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that {is able} to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

V. God Is Able to Control All Things

Ephesians 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. ( Romans 8:28 )

VI. God Is Able To Preserve US

Jude 1: 24 Now unto him that {is able} to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

Hebrews 2: 18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he {is able} to succour them that are tempted.

VII. God Is Able To Save and Destroy

James 3:12 There is one lawgiver, who is {able} to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?

He is able to save those who trust and accept Christ.

He is able to Destroy those souls that reject the Blessed Gospel Of Our LORD

Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he {is able} also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which {is able} to destroy both soul and body in hell

Let us face the coming days with assurance and Comfort that our GOD is Able.
