To show that we need to open our facets of learning when reading the Bible to receive from GOD.

Psalms 119:18 (Amplified Bible)

Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of Your law.

Praise, worship and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You have opened up my understanding, heart, mind, and soul to receive from Your WORDS wonderful things.

A. Open my eyes

"Open my eyes,"

Eyes are considered as mind, so if your eyes are opened, then you have an open mind. Hence, in the Contemporary English version, it was translated as "mind".

Psalms 119:18 (Contemporary English Version)

Open my mind and let me discover the wonders of your Law.

So saying that when you read the bible you need to have opened eyes is tantamount to saying that when you read the bible you need to have an open mind, open heart or open soul.

This is one situation where an unbeliever reads the Bible but can't understand a word of it, similarly even an educated person like a lawyer said after reading a bible, that it's only a myth, book full of fables because they don't have open mind to receive from GOD.

Isaiah 29:10-12 (Amplified Bible)

29:10 For the Lord has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep. And He has closed your eyes, the prophets; and your heads, the seers, He has covered and muffled.

29:11 And the vision of all this has become for you like the words of a book that is sealed. When men give it to one who can read, saying, Read this, I pray you, he says, I cannot, for it is sealed.

29:12 And when the book is given to him who is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray you, he says, I cannot read.

Only in the LORD there is solution. Come to the LORD JESUS CHRIST and He will heal you.

Our prayers is for GOD to show and reveal His WORDS to us. To turn the logos (written word) into rhema (revealed word). That is our goal when we read GOD's WORDS, to UNDERSTAND it so we can apply or do in our lives.

There are people that said "bible is a sleeping pill" because it makes me sleepy when I read it, there are celebrities that say that and are proud, if not why would they say that in front of millions of people? It's because they never wanted to learn the bible, they never wanted to understand it, all they want like the atheist wants, they wanted to find fault with the bible, irrelevances, and conflict. You can't find that in the bible, all they are blasphemous claims.

You come to the bible, GOD's WORDS, for understanding in order to apply it in your life, and when you come with open eyes, open mind, open heart and open soul to GOD, He will open it more, so your understanding will grow more.
