One Price

Summary: When it comes to the payment of sins there can be only one.
Exodus 30:15 The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls.
Interesting that in this situation there is only one payment to have your sins covered. There is only one way to have your soul saved today as only one price was to be paid and that was paid by Jesus. Rich or poor it is the same.
In our culture, if it were up to them, the rich would have paid more and the poor nothing, but rich and poor had to be accountable/responsible for their sins so the price was the same.
Jesus paid the price so there is nothing that either rich or poor can do, but accept forgiveness the same way.
If life were a thing that money could buy,
The rich would live and the poor would die,
But God in His mercy made it so
That rich and poor together must go. - Unknown-
It is the same with salvation. It cannot be bought. It is a free gift to all who will take responsibility for their sins and come to Christ for forgiveness and salvation. The odd thing is that more poor people see the sweet deal that this is than rich people who wheel and deal. Go figure.
Quit trusting in yourself to buy your way into Heaven. No one could afford the price, that is why Jesus paid it all. Maranatha!!!
