“Oh That I Might Have Faith”

In the world that we live in today, the word faith is not a typical household word as it was some twenty years ago. What happen to real faith

in todays world?

Today we live in a world that is full of witchcraft,and satanic worship that is

not only practiced openly, but is also promoted by television, and also allowed in our public schools with out even a bat of the eye. The world also

has allowed the physics to have their place on the TV promising the quick answer to todays problem right over the phone for just $15.95 a minute.

Ah the quick fix, the world today cravesit,nothing else will do. We either want it right now or we don’t want it. You see we don’t have the time

to wait (or we think we don’t) for “the answers on the way” anymore we have to have it right now. We have been sucked right into the plan of the enemy,through the years we have been slowly convinced that we can recieve the answers that we need through the means of soothsayers, and witchcraft.

Also that it is alright for our children to read the books on witchcraft,and satanic worship.

Through all of the deceit we have closed the door to Christ and to what faith is all about. We know what faith is as far as the “knowledge of faith”,

but we have lost the “how to appropriate” faith part.

Do we really have faith?

We all have a general understanding of what faith is.

Heb 11:1

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not

seen.

Our problem is we don’t know how to use the faith we have.

What do you have to show the world that you

have faith? How can you

counter the enemys devices of witchcraft,sorcery,and demonic worship?

There is only one way to know truly what faith is, and how to use it.

Rom 10:17

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

So can a man have faith with out the word God?

No, Faith is only brought to life in a man through the word of God

Heb 11:6

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God

must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek

him.

How can a man believe in God without knowing nothing about God?

How do we recieve what we are suppose to know?

Rom 10:14-15

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how

shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they

hear without a preacher?

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How

beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad

tidings of good things!

Eph 4:8-16

8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive,and gave gifts unto men.

9(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens,that he might fill all things.)

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

So how was it that those men of God had power to preach to one, or to a thousand and still have an effective ministry? The power of God would move

so mightily on men such as Steven, and Phlilp and many other great men through out history.
