Summary: You are saved to serve and not to be served. Your occupation is to win souls to God's kingdom. God expects to make 'profit' from your salvation. You are a fruit bearing tree planted by God.

TEXT: Luke 19:13

"And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come."

SAVED TO SERVE

God has deposited his grace upon your life for a purpose. He called and chose you from the darkness of this world for a reason. He made you the light of the world specifically to dispel darkness. You are saved to serve. You are to occupy yourself, one way or the other, in the business of the master. He says to all his children: Occupy till I come. Are you investing the resources God has deposited in your life to bring others into the kingdom of God? Your light will shine and draw men to the kingdom of light in Jesus name.

THE FATHER'S BUSINESS

When Jesus came to the earth, he was fully occupied in his father's business. He said: "I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work" (John 9:4). He was profitable to God. He has given us the Holy Spirit as guide to help us turn out 'ten pounds' (talents, gift, abilities, resources) to something more (Acts 1:8). He expects us to invest in profitable ventures that will yield interest to the kingdom. We must bear fruits. The fruit of repentance, the fruit of the Holy Spirit, the fruit of righteousness, the fruit of praise and the fruit of soul winning. A tree that does not bear fruit is good for nothing (John 15:2-8,16). You will be like a tree planted by the riverside, constantly bearing fruit in Jesus name.

LABOURING WITH GOD

You are not alone in the work. God is by your side. "For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building" (1 Cor 3:9). God is still working. Jesus is still working. John 5:17 says: "My Father worketh hitherto, and I work." We too, must be occupied with our father's business. God is still looking for more labourers because, "the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few" (Matt 9:37). God is calling you to join him in his business. It is the most profitable business on earth. It pays more than you can ever dream of. The profit is everlasting life in paradise. The recruitment portal is still open: www. Romans10:9.Holy Bible

"...if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

PRAYER:

Father, help me to be fruitful to the kingdom of light in Jesus name.

CONFESSION:

I am the light of the world.

God bless you. Shalom.
