Good morning, church family. This morning we're going to dive deep into one of the most powerful stories in the Bible – the story of Abraham and Isaac from Genesis 22. Before we get into it, I'd like to share a quote with you from a respected Christian author, Philip Yancey. He once said, "Faith means believing in advance what will only make sense in reverse." And, boy, isn't that the truth when it comes to Genesis 22:3!
Let's read the verse together. "Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about."
