Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. - 1 John 2:15

This world is so busy, crowded and full of activity. Men going here and there always trying to accomplish something significant in their eyes. It has happened to me more then once when I am in a city my eyes are fixed on the surroundings and I never take the chance to simply look up. It occurred to me that when we are looking all around at eye level we are seeing what men have built and created. But when we look up above these things we see the sky, clouds, even stars, the creation of God.

This can happen to us spiritually also. Are we looking at God in our heart and spiritual mind or always caught up with the world and the things in the world. What we end up thinking the most about is what we end up loving and cherishing. Loving our Father in heaven means we are focusing our time, energy and thoughts on things above and on Him. Maybe its time to take a look up and remember where your affection needs to be.
