Summary: Adam hid himself because he was ashamed to face God.Like many believers today who have done the same God has the power through the Blood of Jesus to not only free them but cover them. The old saints use to say,"Put It Under The Blood".My friend IT IS UNDER

The same way satan came to Adam.(Genesis 3:1-10) he did the same with the second Adam (Jesus Christ)(cf. Matt. 4:1–11)

Though satan came to Jesus openly appearing not as a serpent but appearing as him self.

First Temptation

Mark 1:12, 13; Luke 4:1–4

4Then aJesus was led up by bthe Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

4 But He answered and said, “It is written, c‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”

Second Temptation

Luke 4:9–12

5 Then the devil took Him up dinto the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: e‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, fIn their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” 7 Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ”

Third Temptation

Mark 1:13; Luke 4:5–8, 13

8 Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and hshowed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. 9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” 10 Then Jesus said to him, 2“Away with you, Satan! For it is written, i‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” 11 Then the devil jleft Him, and behold, kangels came and ministered to Him. , he approached the woman in disguise (cf. 2 Cor. 11:3, 14, 15). 3 But I fear, lest somehow, as fthe serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds gmay be corrupted from the 1simplicity that is in Christ. v.14,15 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into van angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, wwhose end will be according to their works.

The “serpent” was considered an unclean animal by the Hebrews (Lev. 11:42)42 Whatever crawls on its belly, whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet among all creeping things that creep on the earth—these you shall not eat, for they are an abomination. ; it was the instrument of Satan, who was the source and author of evil and the one who inaugurated temptation. John confirmed the identity of the Serpent (Rev. 12:9 9 So nthe great dragon was cast out, othat serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, pwho deceives the whole world; qhe was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. ; 20:2. 2 He laid hold of bthe dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;). The exact nature of the Serpent (nahash, Heb.) is not known. However the definition that is givin derives from the word Hebrew word naw·khawsh and it talks about a 1 serpent, snake. 1a serpent. 1b image (of serpent). 1c fleeing serpent (mythological). Naw -Khawsh is derived from the word naw·khash/ AV translates as “enchantment” four times, “divine” twice, “enchanter” once, “indeed” once, “certainly” once, “learn by experience” once, and “diligently observe” once. 1 to practice divination, divine, observe signs, learn by experience, diligently observe, practice fortunetelling, take as an omen. 1a (Piel). 1a1 to practice divination. 1a2 to observe the signs or omens.

ENCHANTMENT — the practice of magic or sorcery. In the Bible, enchantment is used as a general word that can refer to several different types of supernatural experiences, including fortune-telling, calling up demons, and controlling evil spirits. Most ancient civilizations believed in such magical approaches to religion, but the Mosaic Law referred to such practices as “abominations,” forbidding them to the Hebrews (Deut. 18:10–12). The Law also provided that practitioners of such “black magic” should be stoned (Lev. 20:27). In my opinion Jesus should have picked up the stones he wanted Jesus to turn into bread and cast them at Satan.

I want you to notice Satans Modus Operendi - Method of operation:

3:6 The method of temptation used by Satan established a pattern according to which he would deal with man: (1) Getting Man to Question God, i.e., he was trying to distort or cast doubt on the word of God, (that is the beginning of every temptation.) Satan is powerless without man’s *assent and *consent (v. 1) The Late Eleanor Roosevelt wife of our 32nd President President Franklin Delano Roosevelt said ," No one can make you feel inferior without your consent". (2) Another area Satan operates is trying to get mankind to Contradict God, i.e. deny His word outright, is the inevitable result of questioning it (v. 4). (3) Surpassing God is that satanic device in which some imaginary good is sought, above and beyond what God has offered (v. 5). (4) Disobeying God is the final result (v. 6). The areas of testing were threefold: (1) appetite, (2) beauty, and (3) ambition or pride (cf. 1 John 2:16 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, xthe lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.). Every temptation by Satan falls into one of these three areas. Temptation is primarily an attempt to get one to act independently of God by implanting a desire for self-assertion or a determination to go one’s own way (cf. Prov. 14:1212 iThere is a way that seems right to a man, But jits end is the way of kdeath., note; Is. 53:66 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord 5has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.).
