I believe to understand what John is talking about we need to lay a little ground work. You see when God created the Heavens and the Earth, He created a perfect place for man. We find when man willfully disobeyed God and ate of the forbidden tree in Gen. 3:1-21, that God placed a curse upon not only man, but also upon the earth. In Rev. 20:11-15, we find when the Great White Throne Judgement takes place that the Heaven’s and the Earth fled away, now when this takes place where will they go ? What is the reason for it? Turn over to 2 Peter 3: 3-7 We find that just as God brought judgement upon the world in Noah’s day by destroying it by the flood, so too the world that we live in is being reserved unto fire against the day of judgement and perdition of ungodly men, you see when the lost are brought before God to be judged for their rejection of His only Begotten Son at the Great White Throne Judgement, God will also rid this earth of the curse he had placed upon it in the Garden of Eden, by purifying it by fire, and he will restore the earth to its original form, a place that will be perfect, I believe that their will be no reminders, nothing to bring to remembrance the former days, because if you look in Rev. 21 :4 it is now, after all of this has taken place that God says " And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes and their shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." I’ve heard it preached that all of this will take place as soon as we get to Heaven, but if this is the case why is it no where mentioned in scripture untill now after the lost have been judged and the earth purified. I believe the reason for this is because when Jesus judges the lost that we the Christian will be their and see this take place, does the Bible not teach us in the Book of 1 Thess. 4:13-18, when the Church is raptured out that we will forever be with the Lord, and who is it that will judge the lost, it is none other that the Lord Jesus Christ, read John 5:22 " For the Father judgeth no man but hath committed all judgement unto the Son." So if this is the case we will see the lost cast into a Devil’s Hell and I believe what a time of great sorrow that will be, when we see those that we have had the opportunity to share Christ with and we didn’t, or those that will go their because we didn’t live the life of a christian as we should have. Then after this the Bible says that God will wipe away all tears, you see their will be nothing to remind us of the former days, nothing that might bring a tear, or sorrow to our hearts. But Why No More Sea ??????
#1. IT IS A CEMETERY FOR OUR SINS
Micah 7: 19 " Thou wilt cast all their sins into the debt of the sea." I remember the day that I got saved the burden that was lifted from me. You see I had been burdened down by sin, I tried in every way I knew how to find that one thing I needed to give me peace, to satisfy my longing, I knew that something was missing in my life, I just didn’t know what it was. Then I heard a dear man of God stand one night and preach on what does it mean when Jesus passes by, and what would happen to me if I didn’t cry out as that blind man on the road to Jericho, then I too realized that if I was to ever find what I was so desperly searching for, I was going to have to humble my self as a sinner into the hands of a Loving God, and I did just that and the Bible tell me that he took those sins and cast them into the debts of the sea. In Jer. 31:34 he says "I will forgive there iniquity and I will remember there sin no more." Ps. 103: 12 "As far as the east is from the west so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." Is. 38:17 " For thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back." What are yopu saying preacher God doesn’t even know what sins your talking about, why because he has cast them into the debts of the sea never to be remembered any more. and he is saying that there is coming a day when those sins will be gone forever why because there will be no more sea
