VI. TITLE:

New Wine In The Kingdom Of God

VII. EXPLICATION:

A. Author: John Mark

B. Place of Writing: Rome

C. Date of Writing: prior A.D. 63

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. The LORD always tells the truth

1. "I tell you the truth" only GOD can say this, because every Truth comes from GOD

a. Verily came from the Greek word:"amen" meaning firm, that is, trustworthy, surely, came from the Hebrew word:"amen" meaning sure, faithfulness, So be it

John 1:14 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

John 1:17 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

For the law was given through Moses, but God’s unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.

Numbers 23:19 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?

b. When our LORD JESUS CHRIST speaks, He never lies, He always speaks the truth, with trustworthy and finality because it's sure and faithful and will happen in GOD's time.

B. The LORD made a vow

"... I will not drink wine"

1. GOD does not drink or eat it's something humans do but our LORD JESUS CHRIST as GOD-Man can do it, but He witholds drinking until this such time:

Luke 22:30 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

to eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. And you will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

C. The LORD fulfilled His vow (Revelation 19:7-9)

1. This will all happen in the marriage of the LAMB, where we will eat and drink with the LAMB Himself, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Revelation 19:7-9 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the Lamb, and his bride has prepared herself.

She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.” For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people.

And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.” And he added, “These are true words that come from God.”

IX. CONCLUSION:

Although it's unnecessary for our LORD JESUS CHRIST not to give any sign of not drinking the fruit of the vine because everything He says are trustworthy, He made it a point that this drinking with Him will someday happen and we're encouraged to remember and look forward to this event.

1 Corinthians 11:26 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again.

1 Corinthians 11:24-25 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this to remember me.”

In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this to remember me as often as you drink it.”

"Do this to remember me."

"Do this to remember me as often as you drink it."
