Summary: This outline notes four "new things" available to us now and three "new things" that will be ours at a later time.

NEW THINGS…PRESENT AND FUTURE

Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful." Revelation 21:5 (NKJV)

THE “NEW THINGS” THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO US NOW!

A New Birth:

John speaks of the prospect of it:

He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:11-13 (NKJV)

Peter speaks of the actuality of it:

For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God. 1 Peter 1:23 (NASB)

A New Creation:

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)

A New Song:

Thou art my hiding place; Thou dost preserve me from trouble; Thou dost surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah. Psalms 32:7 (NASB)

He has put a new song in my mouth--Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, And will trust in the LORD. Psalms 40:3 (NKJV)

A New Commandment:

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” John 13:34 (NKJV)

THE “NEW THINGS” WHICH WILL BE OURS AT A LATER TIME!

A New Body:

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. Philippians 3:20-21 (NKJV)

A New Home:

"In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” John 14:2 (NKJV)

New Things:

But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)
