NEW BLESSINGS THAT THE LORD GIVES US

**********************************************

1.NEW THING

The Lord wants to do a new thing in our lives . We should be willing to forget the past and get ready to enter into the future that the Lord has prepared for us. We should put the past failures and disappointments and sorrows behind us . This is a new day and a new year and a new opportunity that the Lord is giving us. We must make full use of this opportunity and be willing a experience new changes in our lives even though they may be unfamiliar to us.

ISAIAH 43:18-19

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

ISAIAH 42:9

See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you."

2.NEW WINE

The Lord wants to fill us with the new wine of His Spirit and anointing .But we must become a new wineskin before God would pour out His new wine into our lives. He will not pour out His new wine if we remain an old wineskin because it would destroy our life.Let us become new wineskins and receive the new wine that God wants to pour out in our lives.Often we want God to change others and to change circumstances. But God wants to change us first and then we will experience a corresponding change in others and in our circumstances.

MATTHEW 9:14-17

Then John’s disciples came and asked him, "How is it that we and the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not fast?"

Jesus answered, "How can the guests of the bridegroom mourn while he is with them? The time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; then they will fast.

"No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, for the patch will pull away from the garment, making the tear worse.

Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins. If they do, the skins will burst, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved."

3.NEW NAME

The Lord wants to give us a new name and reputation and honour for all the shame we endured. Especially in the lives of those of us who have faced much shame and ridicule and humiliation God wants to bring new blessings and honour in our lives. He will change our reputation from being known as forsaken and desolate people. Instead we will be called people whom God has blessed. We will be called by a new name which reflects our new elevation.

ISAIAH 62:2,4,12

The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory; you will be called by a new name that the mouth of the LORD will bestow.

No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah ;

for the LORD will take delight in you, and your land will be married.

They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the LORD; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted.

ISAIAH 61:9

Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed."

4.NEW SONG

The Lord wants to give us a new song of thanksgiving and praise for His mighty deliverance. We should no longer sing the songs of want and worry and complaining .Instead our mouths must be filled with thanksgiving and praise unto God. The Lord will perform marvelous works in our lives and fill our mouths with a new song of praise unto Him.

PSALM 40:1-3

I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.

He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.

PSALM 98:1-3

Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
