Summary: God has woveninto the message of the gospel hope for a new beginning.

New Beginnings

Gen 1:1 = In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Gen 1:2 = Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

Gen 1:3 = And God said, Let their be light.

Some scholars believe these scriptures speak of a new beginning. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. We then read it was formless and void. The two statements seem at odds how can something be created and then be formless and void at the same time.

Isa 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

God does not create things formless and useless. I believe God was speaking to us about a new beginning. We all need a new start. We sometimes get off the road of life and get in a rut. We sometimes cause the good things in our life to to become formless. We let the truth become void. It is God’s word that again brings the vision clear of what the earth was to be. It was God’s word that gave the earth a new beginning. It was God’s word that took the earth from a formless mass without purpose to a new level of beauty, life and elegance. The earth is a picture of our souls. We can all so easily drift from God, from what is real, true, and good. God has a new beginning for us if we will see it and seize it.

God has a plan to restore what was originally intended for you.

God wants to restore to you a full and fruitful relationship with Him. God will speak into our lives when life is unclear and confused. He will speak when our life has failed to take shape or form. He will speak when we are spiritually depleted and dry. He will cause a renewed relationship with Him to take form. It will not be empty but by His word be filled with His love, His presence, and power. Are you ready for a re-creation? Can you embrace the light and let go of the darkness. Can you leave behind the emptiness and embrace being filled with God and truth. Can you take shape as a child of God? Let the word come into your heart let it create a new you in beauty and power.

God can bring you to a new level of reality about who we are that will restore you to your full potential. God has created everyone with a full and powerful potential. We are like the earth without God in need of a word of direction, power and hope from God to bring us to our full potential. Our failures can be turned to success. Our darkness can become light. What we don’t know and can be revealed. We will come into order. We will come into fruitfulness and multiply. God has a plan for us when we go of track. God is a God of restoration and hope. He is the God of reconciliation. Take the chance while he is speaking light, while it is day. Grasp the hem of God’s garment while He is speaking, His virtue will come into your life. Your potential goes beyond the natural world. Can you see it? That is why the Bible says, “Let there be light.” We seek the treasures of this world only to find there are more and even greater accomplishments with God’s divine power. We held on to the smaller natural word without God only to lose the bigger miracle of heavens resources. Are you ready to embrace the divine plan? The Bible tells us in our earthen vessel is treasure. Only God can mine it. Only God can cause it be received. Come to the light hear the word. Only you can decide if its time for your re- creation.
