Summary: IT IS TIME TO RENEW THAT NEW SONG WE USED TO SING WHEN WE BECAME A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST!

New Again

Pastor Ken Crow

Leviticus 26:9-10 (King James Version)

9For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you.

10And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new

Leviticus 26:9-10 (New King James Version)

9 ‘For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you.

10 You shall eat the old harvest, and clear out the old because of the new.

1. 2 Kings 2:19-21 (King James Version)

19And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.

20And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.

21And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.

There is great need this morning for healing of the waters of our life. Families, situations, broken hearts and let downs. Many of us have been hurt by the time we live in

The men of Jericho told Elisha everything here looks good but everything here is not as it appears.

This is Jericho , the city of the shout! The city that symbolizes victory ! The city where the walls came down at the voice of the children of God.

But now it looked good to the eye but truthfully it was dry and thirsty!

There was water! But none you could drink!

The waters needed healing! The land was barren in need of renewal.

Elisha instructed for a NEW CRUISE FILLED WITH SALT.

What made the waters bad we don’t know and it really makes no difference.

But Elisha said bring me something fresh filled with something proven.

THAT IS WHAT WE NEED THIS MORNING IS RENEWAL, SOMETHING FRESH FILLED WITH WHAT IS PROVEN!

What many of us need is a fresh anointing which is the “ new cruise” filled with the Holy Spirit which is the “salt”.

Mark 9:50 (King James Version)

50Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

Matthew 5:13 (King James Version)

13Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

2. Isaiah 42:10 (King James Version)

10Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

Many of us are listening to the sad song!

We are listening to the song of no hope too far often in our life.

What happened to the God Can Do Anything Song?

When we first get saved we go around believing and singing that song of how great God is and what a change Jesus has made in our life and now a lot of us are singing the spiritual equal of “there is a tear in my beer”.

IT IS TIME TO RENEW THAT NEW SONG WE USED TO SING WHEN WE BECAME A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST!

It is time to let the praise flow again from our lips!

This morning let us renew our ATTITUDE TOWARD GOD!

Our song is our thoughts and our speech .

3.Isaiah 43:19 (King James Version)

19Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

God is ready this morning because of his son Jesus Christ to make a new life , a new beginning , a new start but we have to declare it in our heart and I believe from our lips in order for it to be established.

Job 22:28 (King James Version)

28Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

Psalm 40:3 (King James Version)

3And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

This morning let us renew our minds and our hearts in Christ.

Let the fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit flow over each one of us here today .

Lord Jesus this morning I renew in my attitude toward you.

This morning I renew in my praise toward you!

This morning I renew in my speech toward you and about you!

Put that new song in my mouth! That same new song that I used to always sing!

God Bless and Amen
