To explore and affirm God's unfailing presence, His comfort in times of trouble, and His faithfulness in every situation.
Good morning, Church family! Today, we are going to dive into a beautiful passage from the book of John that reminds us of God's unfailing presence, His comfort in times of trouble, and His faithfulness in every situation. Our sermon today is titled "Never Walk Alone."
Before we dive into the Word, let's draw some inspiration from a quote by the renowned Christian author, Philip Yancey. He once said, "Faith means believing in advance what will only make sense in reverse." Isn't it often the case with us? We don't always understand what God is doing in our lives, but we can always trust that He's got us in His hands.
Let's read our passage for today from John 11:20-24. "When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home. 'Lord,' Martha said to Jesus, 'if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.' Jesus said to her, 'Your brother will rise again.' Martha answered, 'I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.'"
