Summary: We got to be vigilant and never be complacent! You never know what and how the enemy would plan to spoil the joy, happiness and peace!
Never let your guard down!
1 Corinthians 16:13”Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”
We got to be vigilant and never be complacent! You never know what and how the enemy would plan to spoil the joy, happiness and peace! Did you know even small things can hamper the joy severely?
I have learnt some hard lessons in my life that has hit me so deep that I am fearfully careful and on my guard, especially after a joyful occasion! Are you listening? Normally, the team that accompany me carry my bags; on one particular occasion, we were shuttling from one church to another to share the Word, and after the glorious time that we spent with the Lord, we were having lunch at a believer’s home after which we had to rush for the evening train. I tell you, I truly lost myself while enjoying with my team and other church members; after lunch, our team members helped us into the car and only after reaching the railway station did I realize I had left my bag behind that carried the train tickets!!!!!!! The station was one hour travel from the place we had lunch! Imagine! It was mayhem! After a lot of rush, severe strain, pain and mental tension we did get the bag to the station –nevertheless, the joy and peace was lost, drained and I reached home depleted and exhausted. Stay on your guard!
Recently after three days of hectic meetings, night prayers, fasting and hard work, the team working with us in the project were all sitting leisurely and having fun, suddenly I felt in my spirit that we got to get together and pray for all-around protection; immediately we knelt and spent some time in praise and prayer. We did face severe attacks; however, the Lord helped us meet and overcome the heat! Pray and stay prepared and be on your guard!
Dear young men and ladies! Hear me out please! Be on your guard when you are invited out for a date, do not be deceived with honey-coated words that flatter your looks and outward appearance. This is just to make you fall! Be on your guard! Stay close to the church and good believers who would protect you from the evil forces. Use the social network sites for good purpose and never allow the enemy to sneak into your privacy. Be it whatsup or FB, do not waste your precious time doing nothing –be on your guard!
You may live your life in a flurry of hard work, hectic schedule and running around, and miss the right dependence on God! Are you listening? Some carry the Bible faithfully in their bag and never read it though. Protection is promised for those who follow His Words diligently! Stay connected with God so that you are protected from the devil! Weekly once set a day for fasting, separate time every day to pray and read the Bible.
God bless you!
