1 Corinthians 2:14”The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.”

Have you tried all you can to break some hard nuts with the Gospel only to be left frustrated and exhausted because they never got it? This is what you call as natural man! A natural man never understands the Gospel because the Word of the Cross is folly to those who are perishing says the Bible. (1 Corinthians 1:18) The natural man does not have fear of the Lord or His Sanctuary, he does not bother about his perishing soul or eternal kingdom, all he cares about is today; nevertheless, one day their life starts dwindling – but that’s not surprising! For one, God has no place in their agenda or life. They have shut their ears to His Word and direction; and they have altogether shut Him off from their life. Pathetic life!

Again we have the carnal man who has information about God but does not know God on a personal basis. Check out the young people who are caught in the ugly trap of pornography and adultery and there would be a considerable amount of Christian youth among them; though born in Christian homes they live without smell of God. What do you call these people but carnal minded? They audaciously hold the Bible and have adulterous relationship right inside the church premises! Check out some Teen fellowships and Young adult gathering and you would know what I am talking about. Let me take a digression here and say something, every Youth gathering should have an elder in the midst as an overseer! Never give the enemy a foothold!

But the life of a spiritual person is just lovely! I said lovely! A young single mother of two children had been living a reckless life with her family scattered in four corners, her little son and teen-aged daughter lived with relatives, while the mother worked in a different city. The daughter joined my school and I found the girl in a very sad state of mind, she would go wandering around the area and come late to school, I found her crying many times. Firmly and lovingly, I started dealing with the kid and her life was awesomely straightened out. Hearing of the transformation of the daughter, the young mother came to see the daughter and also attended my meetings and surrendered her life, she said, “ I had never had a sense of responsibility towards my children before and my life was wild but the moment I heard the Word, God changed my heart and life.” She resigned her job, cut unhealthy relationships and made many changes in her life, a spiritual minded person would not live status quo life but there would be tremendous changes in their life.

The spiritual person will try to bring backsliders back into fellowship with the Lord. He will pray for others and will never judge people instantly but analyze things calmly. Spiritual people will attend church and be active in the work of God. Now check out your life!
