Youth Sermon: My Schedule is a Hot Mess

Step 1: Chill Out

Remember how God created the world in six days and then chilled on the seventh? He wasn't wiped out, but He wanted to show us that taking a break is important. So, we gotta find time to chill too. It's not just about catching some Z's, but also about taking a day to do something cool or just relax. It might feel weird at first, but it's a leap of faith that can bring calm to our crazy lives.

Step 2: Hang Out with God

Spending time with God is super important. It's like filling up a cup with water - whatever we pour into ourselves is what we have to pour out. So, we gotta make it a daily thing to hang out with God. It could be in the morning before school or at night before bed. The key is to make this time a priority and fit it into our schedule.

Step 3: Let God Run Your Schedule

Jesus showed us how important it is to put God first. Even before He started His ministry, He was all about His Father's business. So, we gotta let God run our schedules too. It's not a piece of cake, but it's necessary if we want to tame our time monster. By giving our schedules to God, our priorities will shift, and we'll find peace in the middle of our busy lives.

Conclusion

So, what does your schedule look like right now? Maybe it's packed with school, homework, sports, friends, and family. But remember, you're in charge of feeding your time monster. So, take a leap of faith today. Make time to chill, hang out with God, and let Him run your schedule. You'll be surprised at how it can change your life from just getting by to really living.
