Plan for: Thanksgiving | Advent | Christmas
Our jobs, no matter how mundane or chaotic they may seem, are part of God's work. We are called to join God in His work and find fulfillment in serving Him.
God made everything, and then He made us. He wants us to join Him in His work. This means that even if school feels like a mess, God is still at work. He's working in our lives and the lives of those around us. We need to be faithful and happy in the work He's given us.
But joining God in His work isn't always easy. We face distractions, comparisons, and conflicts with others. It can be exhausting. So, where do we find fulfillment?
God made everything, and then He made us. He wants us to join Him in His work.
We often look for fulfillment in our grades, but that's not where it comes from. Good grades can give us temporary things like a sense of achievement or a scholarship, but they can't give us lasting fulfillment.
Jesus tells us that true fulfillment comes from doing God's will. Our nourishment and fulfillment should come from serving Him and being a part of His plans and purposes.
God has given us work to do. Just like the apostle Paul, we have a purpose in following Jesus. Our work is not just school; it is Kingdom work. It has a higher purpose. No matter how boring or tough it may feel, we are called to be ambassadors of reconciliation in all circumstances.
No matter what grade you're in, you can join in with the work God is doing. You can encourage and help others, being the hands and feet of Jesus. Remember that you are God's beloved child and keep your eyes fixed on Him. When you join God in His work, you're part of something sacred and holy.
All of life is for Jesus, every grade, every subject. Let's pray together.
1. How can you see God's work in your daily tasks?
2. How can you make your work a form of worship?
3. What are some ways you can share God's love at your school or job?
4. How does understanding your work as God's work change your perspective?
