Good morning once again, friends! Welcome back to another week at church. We are continuing our series which we started a few weeks ago called “Hot Mess.” This is a common phrase in our culture, and it’s one that we have been unpacking for a little while now.
So far, we have talked about our family and our schedules and how easily both can become a hot mess. It’s a reality for all of us here today that at some point, in some season of life, these parts of our life will feel as if they are out of control. That’s when we must learn to let God have control. Today, we are moving on to another key area of life: our job.
I’m not just talking about those of us who work a 9-5 or serve at a church like me. Instead, I believe the Bible teaches we are all created to do some type of work, all of which has a similar “why” behind it as well. I think I can prove it to you through a book in the Bible we have visited numerous times throughout this series: Genesis.
Today, we are moving on to another key area of life: our job.
