Hello, church! We are so glad you have chosen to be with us for worship today. Last weekend we had the joy of celebrating Easter and the fact that Jesus is alive! We are now continuing our sermon series called Made New. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is available to us today. That means that through our faith in Jesus, God gives us all that we need to live a transformed life and to be made new.
We previously discussed how it is our faith in Jesus that makes us new. When we confess with our mouths that Jesus is our Lord, and when we believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved. That is the Good News of Easter. That is the Good News for today as well!
This morning we will take a look at the far-reaching effects of the resurrection. One of the incredible results of our faith in Jesus is that we are given the power to move past our past.
