Moms: A Winning Game Plan

Mother’s Day 2023

DISMISS KIDZ

NOW - we’ve come together this morning May 14th 2023... FOR - 2 primary reasons.

FIRST - to honor our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…

AND UNDERSTAND B/S – Jesus is so deserving of our praise, our attention, our worship, our commitment…

our very lives... AMEN?!

AND - the second reason we have gathered today is to honor our moms.

YOU KNOW – moms are amazing…

I MEAN – when you really think about it, what they actually do is INSANE!

CHECK – this out…

BY - the time a child reaches the age of 18… a mom has added to her plate about 18,000 hours of child-generated work.

OKAY – that’s 750 days or 2 full years of her life, doing stuff for and with her kids… (that’s crazy…) Mom’s now you know why you are so tired…

OKAY – I want to pray us into our time of study this morning…

PRAYER

NOW – I do not think I need to tell you, that being a mom is one of the toughest jobs on the planet.

I MEAN – think about how motherhood begins...

By God growing a baby (another life) inside of you.

NOW - this week I went online looking for a list of some of things a woman’s undergoes and endures during the nine months of pregnancy, here are some I found...

• expanding belly, weight gain, enlarged uterus,

• morning sickness, backaches, body aches,

• bleeding gums are common, swollen feet

• feel warm and sweat a lot, constipation, dizziness

• leg cramps, nasal problems, fatigue, sleep problems

• heartburn and indigestion, hemorrhoids, itching

• nasal problems, stretch marks, skin changes

• varicose veins, urinating frequently and leaking

• belly button transforming from innie to outtie

AGAIN – these are just some of things that a mom endures for 39 weeks (273 +/- days)... Not to mention the actual act of giving birth to a 6-10 pound human being.

AND LISTEN – not only do moms not spend those 273 days whining and complaining...

BUT INSTEAD – they take baby bump pictures and they kind of glow...

April 26, 2016... “She didn’t she was pregnant”

WHEN – I called her she was getting ready to take her 5 kids to the dentist.

AND LISTEN – when God choose woman to be moms and give birth instead of men... it was a very wise choose.

No way a man could ever handle it.

AGAIN – being a mom is tough... not just with having a child, but it is also tough because being a mom a thwart with many challenges and much opposition...

That is why is so important for moms to have a game plan.

And this morning Mother’s Day 2023, I want to talk about several strategies that are part of a winning game plan.

NOW – these strategies are not rocket science and they not anything that you have never heard before...

BUT LISTEN – the reason you need to make them a part of your upfront and refer to often game plan is because when things get tough, and the challenges and opposition comes against you... they can be easy to forget.

BUT BEFORE – we dive into our conversation, check out this short video, about a new product that I think some of you may be interested in.

VIDEO - “Mom Personal Assistance”

OKAY – let’s do this…

Six strategies that are part of a moms winning game plan.

AND LISTEN - even though this message is specifically for moms… It is still not time for everyone else to checkout,

FOR – at least 2 reasons;

#1 - You probably have a mom (raise your hands) or you know a mom (raise your hands), or you know someone else who has a mom who could use this winning game plan.

#2 - A second reason you shouldn’t check out, is because many of the strategies need to be part of everyone’s game plan for dealing the various challenges of life.

OKAY MOMS - take out a pen and write this stuff down.

BECAUSE - you’re going to need them.

Strategy number one, in Moms: a winning game plan is...

I. Let Go Of The Supermom Myth

Let go of what?

QUESTION - what is a supermom?

A supermom is a woman who has a full-time job, attends all her kids activities, is a fabulous cook, good housekeeper, always looks good, never misses a church service…

AND IS ALWAYS – sweet, kind, loving, patient, encouraging

and never loses her cool.

NOW – there is a name for these supermoms...

nonexistent.

UNDERSTAND MOMS - all those so-called supermoms that you meet at the P.T.O. or at the grocery store or at the office or who live next door or
