Summary: How to believe and pray for miracles in our lives.

MIRACLES HAPPEN PT2

INTRODUCTION:

MATT 17:14-20

God has a way for getting your need met, your problem solved.

That way is rooted in your faith’s becoming a SEED

When you plant a seed, God changes the nature of that seed so that it becomes a plant, and the power of life surges in that tender young plant to such a great extent that even a mountain of earth cannot stop it from pushing upward!

Jesus says our faith in God is like a seed.

Ex – Watermelon Seed – packet

When we put our faith into action, that is, when we release it to God, it takes on a totally new nature.

It takes on the nature of a miracle in the making.

What is the mountain in your life?

Loneliness, loss of a job, disease, a wounded relationship, trouble in your home?

Something else?

Be encouraged!

Jesus shows the way to see that mountain removed!

1. God says that you have a measure of faith (Romans 12:3)

It is resident within you.

2. God says that this faith comes alive by “hearing…the word of God.” (Rom 10:17)

3. God says that you can apply your faith to see your daily needs met.

James 2:20 – Faith without works is dead!

How?

You do something as an act of your faith.

You sow the mustard-seed smallness of your faith into an action of

Love. (Matt 17:20)

Then, when your faith has been:

1) Planted and is growing,

2) Speak to your mountain and

3) Watch God set about its removal.

2 Chronicles 25:9/John 10:10

HOW DO I PRAY FOR A MIRACLE? Matt 17:20

When we are faced with a great need, either for ourselves or for others, we should begin by;

1. Humbly seeking to know God’s will in the matter:

VERY IMORTANT PART OF RECEIVING A MIRACLE!

Jesus said that He only does what the Father tells Him to do.

We should do the same.

I John 5:14 – Pray according to His will.

Immature faith tries to manipulate God.

Praying frivolous prayers.

It looks for spiritual shortcuts and formulas guaranteed to produce an answer to any request.

It regards prayer as a weapon we use to force God to make good His promises.

But true prayer is not a himan effort at persuading God or forcing our will on Him.

True prayer is founded upon finding and coming into agreement with God’s will.

Ex – Agreement, Alignment, Assignment.

We ask accoding to His will; then we stand in faith, confident that God hears us and that what we ask for is already ours.

Lessons:

1 – To pray with authority and receive answers to your prayers, make sure you ask accoding to the will of God.

2 – Believe that God hears your petition and has already set the answer into motion.

3 – Pray tenaciously and persistently until His will is accomplished.

That is true prayer.

“Father, what do You want to do in this situation?”

Jesus said, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working” (John 5:17).

He listened to the voice of the Father, and He watched Him.

Be careful not to start or end a prayer by saying blindly, “If it be Your will.”

Rather, you should seek to know God’s will in the situation and then base your prayer upon it.

Praying for a miracle is welcoming a gift of the Holy Spirit to manifest.

When His will is to work one, He will witness that to your heart.

2. Ask Him to perform the miracle that you know He wants to bring about.

3. Exercise a key to the miraculous – the spoken word.

God SPOKE the world into existence!

There is life and death in the power of the tongue.

God has given us authority over disease, demons, sickness, storms, and finances (Matt 10:1; Luke 10:19).

Often, we may keep asking God to act, when, in fact, He calls us to employ His authority by our action with divinely empowered speech.

Then we may declare that authority in Jesus; name:

We may command needed funds to come to us.

Command a storm to be stilled.

Command a demon to come out.

Command any affliction to leave.

Command a sickness to depart.

4. Believe and don’t doubt!

Jesus said, “Whoever says to this mountain, ‘be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says”

(Mark 11:23)

CLOSE:

Believe in your heart that it has already happened!

With the anointing of faith that God gives you, speak it forth.

But remember, miracles come by faith in God’s present power, not by a ritual or formula of human works or will power.
